Actually, I think with the attention that Waddle and Fuller are going to get from opposing defenses, Parker and Williams will get plenty of chances to earn their worth.

It should definitely be interesting to see.  I think you are right that especially Parker should get a little looser coverage this year since opposing secondaries are going to have to pay attention to Waddle and Fuller (if he can stay healthy).

Back to the cuts, I thought Strowbridge had a lot of potential coming out of college and was happy the picked him in the 5th round last year but I guess I overrated him.  Also hated to see Malcolm Perry cut just because I always root for military academy guys to make a career.  Not surprised that Shaq Griffin didn't make the team but ya had to at least root for him considering his story.  A little surprised to see Myarick cut since he seemed to have a pretty good camp and pre season.  Even though he was only a 7th rounder, I was felt that Doaks was a wasted pick at the time and it pretty much turned out to be that way.  Maybe they stick him on the practice squad if he clears waivers.  I thought they liked Stinnett too, but maybe they are hoping to stash him on the practice squad too.

At least three of the guys you mention will be on the practice squad.  Especially Stinnett.   The way he played against Cincy, you have to at least give him a year to hone his skills.

Very happy with our WR corps.  I think the last time I felt this good about our receivers was 2011 (Marshall, Bess, Hartline, Gates).

I thought Sinnett showed some potential during preseason. He seems to have improved quite a bit and it's not easy going from zero snaps to starting a whole (preseason) game.

I hope he clears waivers again this year, but I'm not convinced.

He's 6'4", 220 pounds, which checks some boxes with coaches and might just be enough to land a spot on a team carrying 3 quarterbacks.

Dang, that seems like a million years ago, not just 10.

I think he showed a lot of improvement over last year.  I don't think he will ever be a starter in the NFL.  But if they can stash him on the practice squad and then assuming they don't have Brissett come back next year, I could see him earning the #2 QB spot next year.  Sheesh, first regular season game hasn't been played yet and I'm speculating about next year's roster.  lol

This afternoon the Dolphins cut Jamal Perry in order to pick up some guy named Campbell who was waived by the Jets.  Honestly, I've never heard of him.  I thought Perry was a decent DB.

And as per their usual shenanigans, the Patriots picked up Malcom Perry (Navy Academy draft pick from last year) in order to get as much info on the Dolphins as possible before their upcoming game.  He will probably be gone from New England in a week or two after the 1st game as they will have gotten all of the info they can get out of him.

I know this has been going on forever, but it really should be outlawed in the league. Just for the following week's game, let the team sign him after that.

If you're a competent coach, you shouldn't be implementing your regular season schemes during the preseason, with a couple dozen players you plan to cut.

Of course not.  But even if they don't show much of the playbook in the pre season games, they still have to run a decent amount of regular season schemes during practice in order to help make determinations on roster cuts.  For example, two guys with essentially equal talent and measurables.  But one picks up the playbook a lot faster than the other guy.  You are obviously going to keep the one who grasps the playbook better.  But if you don't work on some of the regular season playbook in camp, you would never be able to make those kind of roster determinations.
