“Congratulations on your win.  By the way who are the Dolphins playing this week?  Oh, that’s right they didn’t make the playoffs AGAIN.  When was the last time the fish made the playoffs”.
The obvious response would be, "Unfortunately the Dolphins can't play Mac Jones every week, or they'd be wrapping up an undefeated season on Sunday."

It's quite easy to trash talk a team if you beat them twice, regardless of what happens on the rest of the schedule.

Ideally what's at stake next weekend is Flores' ass.

The team should be told it during the week, and if he's worth saving they will come out firing (they've managed not to do this for any game that has really mattered since he has been coach).

If they put in another lackluster performance to lose badly (especially if they get completely torn a new one like Buffalo did last game last year) then it's pretty obvious he's not the guy to take them forward.

How?  Assuming the Dolphins win, my response would be “Congratulations on your win.  By the way who are the Dolphins playing this week?  Oh, that’s right they didn’t make the playoffs AGAIN.  When was the last time the fish made the playoffs”.

Buffalo fans can give some stinging trash talk.  A Miami fan strutting shit even with a week 18 win that wouldn’t even be much of a spoiler is really weak.

I have to sadly agree with Hoodie.  The Patriots fans response would be (and should be), "Enjoy watching us in the playoffs."   It might mean something to Dolphins fans to sweep the Patriots but I assure you that getting swept by the Dolphins would mean nothing to the Patriots fans as long as they are going to the playoffs.  Hell, Hoodie is our resident Patriots fan and that is pretty much what he said himself.  I hate the Patriots as much as anyone, but sweeping them after the Dolphins completely shit the bed this year would give me zero consolation.

We can play spoiler for the Ravens. If they win and the Colts and Chargers lose and we lose or tie, they make the playoffs, but if we win they are out of the playoffs regardless. Essentially just twisting that dagger that we put into them a couple weeks back. LOL

I will concede this, IF *BOTH* Fins and Jets win then you have actually played spoiler and prevented us from winning the division and some trash talk might be valid. But if the game is about the 5th seed vs 7th seed, I don’t care about the game.  Heck, if the half time score has Buffalo up by 21, NE should pull their starters regardless of the score in the NE-Mia game.

My response to Patriots taunting is earlier.  If Miami wins on Sunday, they were officially robbed of the playoffs.
