This is for pondwater.  It was hard for me to come up with fair responses because I think yes/no doesn't allow for the nuance needed.

I'm thinking:
1 means "everyone has to get it".
2 means "school, health care workers, military, travel clearance, etc"
3 means a hard no
4 means no mandate, but that unvaccinated shouldn't be able to saddle the health care system or should have higher insurance premiums or something, should have to be tested regularly, etc.
5 means that mandates for venues and hospitals and travel are employment are good, but shouldn't be done through the government

Certainly would be interesting to see the crosstabs between this poll and a poll that asks "Do you support the criminalization of drunk driving?" or "Do you support checking individuals for potentially dangerous items before they board a flight?"

And nothing anyone says will make me change my mind.

This is a terrible quality.  You should always be open to having your opinion on something changed with new or better insight, information, and personal growth.

I selected #2 but I would require it for almost situation.  All transports, workplaces (other than work from home) all schools all entertainment, etc.  But it would not be illegal for a hermit not to get a vax.

I selected #2, but I'm really a hybrid of all of these things.

I think that anyone working for the government in any fashion should be required.
I think that anyone working in essential jobs where outbreaks are a problem (like the meat-packing industry) should be required.
I think that schools should be required like for other vaccines.
I think it should definitely be required for overseas travel, but probably for domestic travel

And then I'd prefer if private business did their part -- that large corporations made their employees do it.
That concert venues and grocery stores would require it.

And then I think that there needs to be a financial incentive -- specifically in insurance, just like you pay higher premiums for smoking.  I think that would help as well.

Update on my opinion of f'ing vaccine mandates. One of my high school buddies passed away on May 28th due to a heart attack. His sister just reached out to me with the autopsy report. He had a blood clot reach his lungs and created a heart attack. The kicker is he never took the vaccine until recently. He was doing a military project at Ft Bragg and needed it to work there. He is no longer in the military but took this assignment to spend time with family up there. Couple months later this happened. Just another coincidence I'm sure.

I am sorry for your lose.

But heart attacks were the leading cause of deaths worldwide even before Covid and started increasing during the pandemic BEFORE the first vaccine was developed.  The fact that a few months after getting a vaccine a person you knew died of the leading cause of death is very much nothing more than a coincidence.

CF, since you've mentioned two people who have died after taking a COVID vaccine, I have to ask:
Do you know anyone who has died from (or "with") COVID?

CF, since you've mentioned two people who have died after taking a COVID vaccine, I have to ask:
Do you know anyone who has died from (or "with") COVID?
Eric was actually the third person I know personally who suddenly dropped dead within a short time after taking the vaccine. I also work with an Indian guy who had a stroke within 2 weeks of getting it. He would probably spit in your face if you told him the shot was coincidental. I like setting him off by telling him how great the vaccine is but he knows I'm against it.

I know "of" some people who have died from covid but don't know anyone personally who have actually died. For instance, a friend's parents died from Covid and another friend's sister died. In the case of the parents I don't know how old they were but he is probably 60 now so they had to be late 70s at the youngest. The sister that died was severely overweight.

None of that justifies dying but points out that certain risk factors are, or at least were, more of an issue with covid than others. My MIL who got sick with us spent 5 weeks in the hospital at age 72 but recovered. My wife and I only spent 3 & 4  days in the hospital due to the pneumonia it caused. My 23 year old daughter who got all of us sick bounced back in about 5 days without any special treatment. Oddly enough my other 23 year old did not get it nor did my FIL who was 78 at the time. Crazy how that happens as we spent a weekend moving both my daughters and then celebrated Christmas together.

My opinion was and still is that the vaccine is safe for some but obviously not all and you just don't know that until you take it. If a person wants to get it that's fine but no way in hell should it be mandated and especially when you or your relatives have no form of repercussion. I almost lost my job over this but since we stood together the company was forced to drop the policy.

It's worth pointing out that far more people have been vaccinated than have caught COVID (this is, of course, the way that vaccines are intended to be used).  So my next questions for you are:

1) How many people do you believe have been killed by COVID vaccines, and how did you arrive at that number?
2) Would you expect the number of people who have died from a COVID vaccine to be greater than the number of people who have died from COVID?

Well since OP was directed at me and I somehow missed it.

I pick #5 with a few caveats. No government mandates, private businesses can make their own choices. With exception for essential services. Food, shelter, gas, medical care, etc. As far as travel goes, meh. I don't care. Walk, ride a bike, drive your car, or pick a service that has chosen to not require it.

At the end of the day, the business market will split down partisan lines and eventually level out. Most businesses will pick profit over everything else. And if you eliminate a large percentage of your profit. There will be another company to swoop in and collect those all mighty bucks.

Take the vax or don't take the vax. Either way there are potential drawbacks. It's just life guys, it's gonna end eventually. Pick your poison and deal with it.

At this point, though, the question doesn't even make sense anymore.

The game has changed.
