I'm going to go with the defensive, starting with the defensive line that failed to put pressure on Burrows.  The rest of the defense played poorly also.

From the NFL highlights package:

It was a total shitshow in the 3rd quarter. Yes the defense was bad, but it did enough in the first half to keep us competitive too. This was a total collapse on both sides of the ball.

I'm not sure what McDaniel's speeches are, but we've come out flat the 3rd quarter for a while now.  Huh

McDaniel gets it from me

This game was smoke and mirrors from the beginning.

The first half reminded of Don Shula football.  We were outplayed all over the place, but we still had a 14-10 lead at one point and I remember thinking that felt very strange.

The game really came down to two things: We cannot produce on 3rd and short.  We haven't been able to for several season.  We don't have blockers that can move the line, we don't have QBs that can sneak it and we don't have a big back that can muscle it.  We just don't have it.

On the other side of the ball, 3rd and short, over and over, went for huge gains.

That was the difference.

I guess it boils down more to defense than offense, so I'll give it to Weaver, I guess.
