Premise: In a time where only men were legally allowed to act on stage, a woman played the part in a small underground theatre.  When word of this got out, the rules were changed, leaving the most famous "man that played women" out of luck, causing him to have to tutor the young woman, since she was playing the role of a woman, the way a man would.

(Sounds confusing, I know.)

Rating: I didn't like it.

Ms. Dave picked this out, and I watched it having no knowledge of what it was.  It just isn't my thing.  I suppose that this had an interesting premise: Men were trained in theatre to lose their masculinity in playing women.  ...so, they overacted like women.  When women started playing women, they copied the men that they had watched play women before them.  Also, men that had previously played the parts of women, now couldn't play men....because they were acting like women who were acting like men.

There was lots of gender ambiguity, and everyone seemed to be some form of bisexual...just too weird for me.  Plus, period pieces eat my ass.

Fin.
