He's right. I feel the same way about Piazza playing for Italy as well.

Coming from someone who doesn't really like A-Rod, Ozzie Guillen is an asshole. How is A-Rod a hypocrite? Surprised Guillen stopped kissing men long enough to say this.

A-Rod is a hypocrite because he first said "I wanna play for the Dominican Republic".  Then he was like "No, wait, I wanna play for the US".  The he said "It's probably best if I don't play at all, so I don't offend anyone".  Then he said "Well, I really do wanna play, so I'll play for the US".

A-Rod is a panzy who sucks in the post-season like Peyton Manning.

That doesn't make him a hypocrite, it just makes him a flip-flopper. What A-Rod should've done from the beginning was stop listening to the Dominican idiots who think you are a cultural sellout if you don't play for them. He was born in America, why the hell would he play for DR?

He was in a bad spot because he was going to get bashed for whatever he did, so he should've just made his choice and stuck with it. Instead, he made everything worse because he didn't want to upset anyone. Not gonna happen when you are:

1) A Yankee
2) Getting paid $25 Million a year
3) Dominican, part of the only country who really gives a shit about this whole thing

If he was Cuban, he wouldn't have been able to play for DR. He is Dominican and maybe something else, but was born in the United States. He should've just picked a country from Day 1 and stuck by it. He's not really a bad guy, he just doesn't want to piss people off and his actions accomplish the complete opposite.

He was born in the US with Dominican parents. He moved to DR as a child and lived a few years there before coming back to the US.
