On the day where we celebrate the patron saint of Ireland by getting piss drunk of Guiness and gree beer and passing out, I'm actually surprised by the amount of people participating in the wearing of green clothing items.

What about you?

My people came from Carbury, in north County Kildare, in Ireland. Most of their descendants are in England and Australia; only a few of us are still in the US.

The name Kilmurry occurred in an arc from south Co Roscommon, through Westmeath, south Meath, into Kildare and Offaly.

A good map will show that they seemed to swing around the Bog of Allen! So - are we the real Bogmen?

Kilmurry means the chapel of Mary. Mary is Máire, except for the Mother of Jesus, when it is always
Muire.

Mac Giolla Mhuire is the surname, meaning the Son of the Servant of Mary.

I am not wearing green right now since I am in the office and don't have a green dress shirt...and even if I did, it might not be appropriate to wear in a conservative lawyer setting. For my change of clothes for happy-hour I do have a green irish shirt that I will be wearing....

I forgot today was St. Patrick's Day... But somehow, I managed to still wear a shirt that had a little green in it.

Put taboos aside. Do you think Johnny Cochran would be scared to wear a green dress shirt?

No I did not wear green and that is how I intended it. I had three people walk up to me first thing this morning and threaten to pinch me. My repsonse was a simple, if you have the balls to pinch me at 7:00 am (I am not a morning person and everyone here knows this) don't be pissed when I knock you the fuck out. Needless to say I have yet to get pinched. I have never really cared about this pointless holiday but for those of you that do then by all means.....

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!

I wore my aqua Dolphins jersey and green shorts.  I then went with my wife and a couple of friends to Savannah for the St. Patrick's Day Festival at the riverwalk.  Needless to say, it was like Mardi Gras in New Orleans.  A BOATLOAD of college age kids drunk as hell, lined up to get into the bars and staggering around the area.  People up top throwing beads down.  Turns out Savannah has a LOT of Dolphins fans.  A bunch of people were screaming about how good the Dolphins will be this upcoming season.
