It was quite obvious Randy Johnson was injured and shouldn't have started this game. If not for Damon making a lot of great catches, it would've been a lot worse. Proctor comes in and once again does a nice job. I'm telling you, as a reliever he is crap but as a long reliever and spot starter he does farely well.

Oh, and it looks like more of the same from the offense. They hammer a pitcher early and if the lead is given right back, they just shut it down. It's almost like they are telling their own starting pitcher to go fudge himself for wasting their "gift".

I would say we kill tomorrow, but Mussina HATES it when we score runs for him. We take a lead he gives it back in under 10 pitches. We own Lilly but we own Chacin too.

Around July this post will be funny as it was last year and the year before. I'm not worried, just frustrating to lose games to bad management(not this one though).

That is a hell of a stat. Well, he'd still be undefeated if he didn't lie about his shoulder.

Christ, Lilly should thank God the Yanks are in homer or nothing mode. In 5 innings he gave up 6 hits and 5 walks minus the Homerun. From 6 hits and 5 walks that yielded ONE run. 11 baserunners in just 5 innings, that's a WHIP over 2. Then Frasor comes in and gives up a run on 2 walks and NO hits. That's remarkable.

At the end of the year the offense always posts great numbers, but from day to day they can be very frustrating.
