was ok for the first game off DL

6 IP 4 ER 7 hits 1 BB 5  K's

gave up 2 2-run homeruns to Paul Konerko but other then that he was pretty good

WORD!  I felt like the only one in FL that thought he was just average.

He's definitely a good pitcher, but the antics he pulled at the end of last season showed his true colors.  He's not a team player, and this minor league club doesn't need that kind of cancer.

He's like Braden Looper.  He's a thrower, not a pitcher.  He relies on heat and nothing else.  Pitchers can start out that way, with an intimidating fastball, but sooner or later, hitters will catch on to that.  The pitchers who learn to mix in different types of pitches with that fastball are the ones who go on to long, successful careers.

Roy Halladay has given him a few pointers on how to pitch, they work together and do all kinds of stuff together, (no not that so get that twisted fantasy out of your head) plus he has armsberg working with him.

The first time us jays fan with see the Halladay-Burnett duo is this weekend against the red sox at the rogers centre,

According to the ESPN the pitching matchups for those games will be Halladay vs Beckett. Dinardo vs Burnett and it didn't say who was pitching the third game.

Burnett will be awesome this year. Stop Laughing

i sense that Beckett will not last long in his next outing against the jays, he won't get shelled or anything but he will be ejected when he throws chin music to hillenbrand and it ends up being a brawl between the two. Shea will show him how to "play the game the right way" if you don't know what i mean by that look at my previous post that is titled beckett is a prick

I wonder if AJ asked to be moved up a day in the rotation for face Beckett.  Do pitchers do that?  I figured Halladay was ahead of Burnett in the Jays' rotation.....
