I think that's a good point in general Sunstroke, but I don't know if it applies in this case, because the limitation we're talking about here is the speed of light. The idea that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light is a pretty rock-solid law of physics. It could definitely be wrong, but that would seriously turn the world of physics upside down.

And I'll concede a "good point" right back at ya, Smitty...and one I honestly did consider before making that comment.

...Anyone up for amending some laws of physics? The next 50 years could be chock full of little surprises.   Shocked

Some scientists believed that the speed of sound was a barrier.

Others believed the earth was flat.

Still others believed the sun revolved around the earth.

Einstein was a big step forward in our understanding of physics, but by no means was he the final step.
