Jake Peavy pitched a 13 strikeout gem against the Brew Crew last night to help lift my Padres to their 10th win in their last 11 games. It's all about pitching, defense and speed for the baby-boomer Padres. Highest fielding percentage in the majors (.991, a hair ahead of Boston and the Twinks) to go with the 5th lowest team ERA (3.97). Bruce Bochy has his youngsters playing good fundamental baseball and using their speed to manufacture runs (Highest steal percentage in baseball and tied for third highest steal total - 33 of 36 attempts)
