Jason Schmidt fans 13 Marlins going into the 9th inning at 101 pitches.  Schmidt takes the hill in the top of the 9th frame, and looks at 2-3-4 in the Marlins order.  Uggla bunts for an infield single.  Jacobs singles to center field.  A passed ball later and we're looking at runners on second and third with no outs and Marlins down by one.

Do they pull Schmidt?

No.

Schmidt fans Cabrera

Schmidt takes down Willingham swinging

Schmidt screws Hermida into the ground.

Jason Schmidt, with runners on second and third, and into the 120's in pitch count, strikes out the side for 16 on the game and holds on for the CG win.

As much as I love the Marlins, its fun to watch guys like Schmidt work games like this.

Especially since I have him on BOTH of my fantasy baseball teams! Smiley

Wow. That's amazing. You rarely see this, but from what i hear Alou is a big fan of having guys throw their arms out, much the same way Jack McKeon was.
