The Jays will fade eventually. Alex Rios' numbers will decline or he will be indicted for steroid abuse.

Counting on Burnett to do anything is a joke. He is an injury machine pitching in a tougher league and division. Halladay is always good as gold and so is BJ Ryan it seems. Still, it remains a two team race for the AL East between Boston & NY as always. The Jays don't have the pitching depth or the offense to make up for the lack of pitching.

NY has Mussina and occassionally some other guy, but they have MLB's best offense to back that up. Same with Boston. Schilling has pitched okay, but his 9-1 record is because of their offense. Hell, Boston may be even better if Franconca realizes a guy whose OBP is over .430 batting 8th is retarded.

I swear, him & Torre are just killing their own teams.

As someone who's been on the Youkilis bandwagon so long that I'm riding shotgun, all I can say is AMEN to that. Sorry Mark Loretta, but Youk should be in that 2 spot, driving Coco around and getting on base for Papi and Manny to drive in.

Loretta's .344 OBP is not bad, especially considering that he was essentially donated by the Padres to Boston. It's just that Youkilis is Top 5 in OBP, so the more at bats he gets the better. It's not like he is just drawing walks either, he got some power and at the very least shouldn't be below Vraitek who has been horrible so far due to his injury.

99 times out of 100 a manager can't win a game for his team. But, he can lose a game for them or decrease their chances of winning them. Francona is hurting his team. Willie Randolph is hurting his team. Joe Torre is hurting his team. So many managers for winning teams don't help. Proof? Bob F'N Brenly has a World Series ring.
