They're lucky they ended up in prison. If this was Miami after Hurricane Andrew, they could've all ended up with bullets in their heads.
South Dade residents didn't fuck around after Andrew. Signs were up everywhere saying that looters would be shot without warning.

Sounds like my kinds of people. Too bad we have to wait until a hurricane hits though. Too bad this type of common sense can't be applied 24/7/365 to all looters, taggers, car thieves, etc.
You're right....... People weren't too kind to price gougers either. I broke a guy's nose after he tried to sell me a can of baby formula for $75.

I'm guessing because people who have committed violent crimes have gotten less. Regardless, they will be out in a couple of years anyway, if their past is clean.

This is more than stealing. Its looting, which is a much harsher crime. Maybe if these thugs know thay they will get 15 years, they will think twice before looting.
Nope, because people that commit crimes do not think about getting caught. That is why they commit them. No one plans on getting caught.
