I can't fathom why the Rams think Green has three years left in him.

Because Linehan is an idiot.

Linehan should have stay his ass in Miami.  But it is what it is.  I actually liked his play calling abilities .

NFL contracts aren't guaranteed. It could have been a 10-year contract for all that says about anything.

The one thing I don't understand about the signing... the money:

$2.1M signing bonus! Total payout in the first year is $4 million.

That's a fair bit of cash...

Trent Green has a Super Bowl ring from the Rams.  It can't be all that bad - right?

He knows that system very well, but I think Bulger is still the starter.

He doesn't know the system at all.  He's playing under Linehan - do you think Cameron and Linehan had the same offensive system?  Or do you think mike Martz/Dick Vermiel and Linehan had the same offensive system?

From what I've read, Linehan's system is a spin-off from Martz's.  So I don't think Green will have a problem making the adjustment.

I imagine that if the clipboard he's carrying is really heavy, it could cause an aneurysm or something. I'd risk it for $4 million though...no problema.

It wouldn't even be news except that he went to high school here.

Browns sign hadnot
Supposedly Hadnot was a so-so center who was moved to guard and became borderline all-pro.  Did any of you see that or was it just hype?  Perhaps he just looked that good due to the players around him?

After this past Season with the Dolphins he should realize more then anyone that you are always 1 play away from playing. That $ 4 Million is gonna buy him alot of green Jello after he gets hurt again.
