Gee, John Brown signed with a team that plays in a nice comfy dome instead of your team?  That is just unheard of!   

Jeff Faine would rather play in nice, warm Tampa with a team with way more upside than the Chiefs?  How dare he!

Wasn't Herm Edwards a master of tampering with the Jets?  Or was that just when he wanted to get out of his contract with the most useless team in the NFL (to go to what is an equally useless team but with WAY more class?)

The NFL has turned a blind eye to tampering until this season, when Goodell decided to toughen up against it. Teams have been signing players on the first day of free agency for a while now. But, Herm didn't open his mouth then. He's just whining, now that Goodell has decided to actually enforce a rule.

The tampering that normally occurs is when teams and agents get together at the combine.

The tampering that has been punished here occurred DURING the season.

There's a big difference, in my opinion.
