So, the Giants met with the President at the White House, and he was giving a speech about things they overcame to get there.  He mentioned something about learning a valuable lesson and that he's going to invite Jessica Simpson to the Democratic National Convention.

Pretty funny.

It was funny too because he said "Democrat national convention" instead of "Democratic".

I heart GWB.  Grin

Bush had some really funny jokes when the Red Sox came to the White House as well.  He cracked on Manny not being there "his grandmother must have died again."

Manny didn't go in '04 either because he said his grandmother died.  She's still alive.

I may not like Bush as our President, but I would love to sit and talk to the guy casually.

That's the thing about Bush.  He actually seems like a good guy, someone to have a couple brews with.  He is the guy I want to shoot the breeze with, just not run the country.  I agree.

I do not totally agree with Bush on all his policies as times they seem liberial, but over all he wasn't a bad president. I would love to meet him and thank him for serving our country as president.

I said the same about Al Gore ... even though I voted for him.  Once he lost ther election and opened up to the public ... I think more people liked him.  That was before he started making movies though.  Undecided

I don't know why people think he would be a good guy to have a beer with.  I think his handlers have done a good job at portraying him in such a light.  I would think he would be beyond snobbish and stuck up.

Bush=Liberal?  Is there any form of inconsistency greater than this?

Not sure about #2, we have had some shitty presidents and massively corrupt administrations in the past too. He will be in the top 5 at least.
