Just to open the discussion, do you like the direction where the team is heading.

Personally, i do. We got a football guy running the show for once. We may not be great next season, but in a few years we should be a 10 win team.

I know we have had this discussion before, i actually believed Saban would right the ship but that didn't end up happening. I got caught up in the hype. But i do feel comfortable with whose leading the show now.

For the most part. But for $3 Million a year I think we could have, should have found a way to keep Zack Thomas around. What he offers in leadership alone would have been worth that price to these rookies that don't know their ass from their elbow. Who are they gonna look up to? Joey Porter? Please.......

^ I agree.

But other than the Thomas thing, I really like our fresh, Wanny-less look.

At first no.  But recent events have made me happy with the way the Dolphins are heading.

When Parcells was first named to take over the team, I was quite saddened given his reputation for turning around crappy teams and making them competitive.  The prospects of the Dolphins being competitive worried me, smart drafting only increased that concern.

However, the Dolphins utter mismanagement of the Taylor situation as shown that nothing will stand in the way BP giant ego.  I realize my earlier concerns are for naught and that the old man is losing his touch and the Dolphins will continue to have "rebuilding years" for the foreseeable future.   Smiley Evil

The team cannot get any worse, so I would be pleased with anything.

I applaud Parcell’s hard line stance on this. What kind of precedent does it set when you trade away a premiere player just because that prima dona is “unhappy” with his current situation. Look at the Raiders. They practically handed Randy Moss to the Patriots for less than nothing. Honestly, can anyone name the player the Raiders got with that 4th round pick? Yeah , I'm sure you would like to see the Dolphins fold and give him away for that. It’s a joke to take anything less than a 1st rounder for a hall of famer who can contribute double digit sacks for another two or three years. Even if Taylor retires and we don’t get any draft compensation, at least the rest of the league will know that this new Dolphins management team is about BUSINESS and they will not be pushed around and/or duped like previous Phins regimes.

I think you are still pretty worried.........as well you should be. Parcells actually won championships without cheating............. Cheesy

I love the direction the team is going...and think Miami will be back among the relevant teams in football by the 2009 season.

However, the Dolphins utter mismanagement of the Taylor situation as shown that nothing will stand in the way BP giant ego.

Translation...Hoodie doesn't understand the Taylor situation at all.

Come on guys we need to believe. The Dolphins is a great franchise with a long history of winning. Sure the recent years have been tough on us, but come on the Tuna is good at what he does, we are heading in the right direction.

I am not talking about folding or giving him away for nothing.  But while JT was saying all the right things to increase the value of the picks that would be offered, the Dolphin managements statements will no doubt lower his value for a trade.

What are you saying? That Bill the cheater was responsible for Parcells success? The other way around  Bro. Belicheater is just another student of Parcells that took the game a bit further by being an effective cheater.

Bill has built another damn fine Team with the Cowboys and will do it again here.

Taping stopped week one this season, came within 3 min of a 19-0 season, without that camera.

^^Close only counts in horse shoes, hand granades and Hoodie's warped opinion on the status of the Patriot's three tained Super Bowls.  Not including the Super Bowl's where NE got their asses handed to them (thanks to the Bears and Packers...)

Super Bowl #1 - win =   close game, win.  Pats taped that year.
Super Bowl #2 - win =   close game, win.  Pats taped that year.
Super Bowl #3 - win =   close game, win.  Pats taped that year.
Super Bowl #4-LOSS =  close game, loss.  Pats stopped taping.  Weird.

//end hijack.

That's gotta hurt huh?  Cheesy Cheesy Grin  Just think...........Miami did it back in 72 WITHOUT their starting QB for most of the season.  Cheesy   Pats choked and are headed into a serious downward spiral as we start the climb to greatness once again..........without cheating. Deal with it.
