Defense, I don't get you.  The guy labored here for 11 years with moslty no help, and he's a turd for saying enough's enough?

Welcome to the attitude of the selfish fan. The man has every right to pursue other intrest if he has zero intention of playing football or if 16 million dollars isn't worth the constant losing.

Taylor has to look out for himself and his family, because once he's gone the dolphins are still going to be around. People need to stop taking this so personally. It's a buisness if the dolphins decide not to trade him, but he's being selfish if he decides to retire.

Budweiser for breakfast? Someone has a little bit of a problem....

Beer is for breakfast.  You drink or be gone.

No kidding, bud is not a breakfast beer.  Miller or Coors are breakfast beers.

People leave jobs with contracts all the time.  If you remove the emotion from the argument, there's nothing wrong with wanting to go out on top; it's what we all want in life.  Taylor was part of 1 rebuilding / franchise turnaround 10 years ago.  Then management screwed him and screwed the team all up.  I can't fault him for wanting to end it on a winner instead of helping to set up success he'll never get to taste himself.

Bullshit. 7.5 Million can't take care of his family!!?  This whole thing is about Taylor and nobody else. I was all for him going on DWTS and getting some deserved R&R. But now he's acting like a Primadonna Jerkoff. He thought he was above it all and The Tuna is just letting him know who's boss. I really feel sorry for the guy....... Roll Eyes he signed the Contract now own up to it. Its that simple. He is a PAID employee and nothing else. The tuna will do whats best for the team becuase thats not Jason Taylors concern any longer.

Funny how "owning up to the contract that was signed" didn't apply when Zach Thomas was cut.

Some consistency, please.

"Jason Taylor is headed back to South Florida after three months away from home. But the six-time Pro Bowl defensive end doesn't sound like he's in any rush to settle his stalemate with the Dolphins".

Looks like he's going to retire

Hey I've said Many times here that that was not right.  Zach Thomas should still be on the team.   But Getting cut is part of the contract.......they didn't have to sign it and take the bonus if they didn't like it.

Look at my Name. No One Loves those 2 players more then me. But we were all begging for an admin that would take no shit and build us another championship Team. The last 10 years were full of wishy washy Nice Guys (except for Saban......he was just an Ahole) . I think the Hardline stance is refreshing and it sets a precedent to the entire league that The Dolphins are not a joke anymore.

Both signed contracts Both need to live up to them. Whats not consistent? Because Taylor fits into Parcells plans and Thomas doesn't? That's the employers decision to make not the employee.

The Dolphins are not a joke.

"A grasshopper walks into a bar.  Bartender says, 'we have a drink named after you.'  The grasshopper responds, 'you have a drink called Murry'"  is a joke.

The Dolphins are a football team that loses a lot of games.

366 349 9 (1960–2007, includes only regular season)

362 242 4 (1966–2007, includes only regular season)

Guess which record belongs to the Patriots and which one belongs to the Dolphins.

Easy guess.  The Dolphins didn't exist in 1960.
