I respect that. I'll never understand people who support every home team, and hating a certain one (usually NFL). Strangest thing.

Couldn't help but become a Mets fan. My father and Grandmother were HUGE Brooklyn Dodger Fans. They were crushed when they left for California. I was brought up to Hate the Yankees. They didn't like the Mets at first but were soon won over by some pretty great teams early on. Cleon Jones, Ed Kranpool, Rusty Staub, Felix Mian, Dave Kingman, Tom Seaver , The 70's ruled! 86 Mets were not to shabby either! Todays Mets have No personality whatsoever. Good........far from great and VERY boring to watch.
The Giants (NFL) don't count as NY teams to me becuase they play in Jersey. Why do they syill hold on to the Name? I just never liked the Jets from day 1. I was6 yrs old and shopping in Sears for a Winter coat with my mother. I flatly refused the Green Jacket. I hated the color and still do to this day. I
almost got the Bears jacket becuase I liked the bear's Logo but when I saw the Aqua and Orange Dolphin it was all over! My mother just wanted me to get something I liked so I wouldn't lose it.
Thats all there is to it for me. Been a fan ever since. By 78 I was draging my dad to Shea stadium to watch the Dolphins play the Jets . God I hate that team. It will crush me if we don't get a championship before they do.
