Not until we get a decent starting QB. That draft cut deep bro. I'm just now starting to heal. THANK GOD we got the satisfaction of seeing him kicked to the curb, that definitely helped the closure along. I'm actually excited again .  Smiley

The jury is still out on Quinn and he is not on our team.  Time to let it go.

Agreed and it is still out for Ginn. Quinn as not part of the dolphins, I don't give a crap about him or us passing on him.
We have Ted Ginn Jr, this is reality, I did not like drafting him and I do believe it was a throw away pick, however he may be the best we have in the wr position, let's give him some slack.

It also appears to me Reggie Williams and Ted Ginn had similar rookie seasons.

Why are you not willing to name them?  I’ll stand up & say.  I had no problem with giving the man enough time to turn things around.   Cam would have stayed had Wayne not hired Parcells.

I was a staunch supporter of keeping Cameron on, but I have to admit that all the stuff that's come out after he left... I don't know, I'm not sure he was ready to be a head coach, AT ALL. The lack of toughness, the poor physical training, the whole micromanaging aspect (spending time monitoring the team web site to make sure players were asked the right questions)... the list just goes on and on.

As I said at the time, the WORST possible thing was for Cam to get another year and THEN get fired.

As for talent evaluation, I'm not going to flog him for that until his picks have had a chance to develop. If neither Ginn nor Beck turn out to be solid contributers, well, then that's clearly not a good draft!

Then why are you not screaming about Parcells & Company passing over Matt Ryan?

They choose another player over a QB who actually is considered a franchise Qb, but like a 2nd Rd. Qb better.

Why the hypocrisy?

No Hypocrisy.  Parcells has earned the right to Pick a Field goal kicker in the first round.  WTF has Cam Cameron ever done to think he had the right make a leap like he did ?  I'll say it again.........It doesn't matter what becomes of Quinn or Ginn. The Right pick on that day at that time was Quinn. Miami's # 1 need since Dan Marino retired nearly 8 years ago was QB.  With Chris Chambers still on the roster at that time a receiver was NOT a pressing need. At the very least if he had his heart set on Beck he should have just traded down the #9 pick and grabbed Beck . Ginn no matter how good or bad he turns out (and I hope he's gonna turn out great)was an irresponsible pick with a 1st draft choice with so many other glaring needs .

And that is Why Parcells is a winner in this league and Huizenga is not. He's a heck of a business man but he has failed miserably since he entered the NFL.
Remind me again what Parcells has won without Belichick?

How the Fuck do you know what people knew about Quinn?
Well if you actually listened to the reports on Quinn prior to the draft then you would also know what was being said about him..  It was all of NFL Network, ESPN, draft Mag.

Miami actually had one of their coaches working with Quinn for a few weeks if memory serves me correct.  So I think they would have a good gauge on things with him.

How about every sport analyst, recruiter and Writer that said that Miami was a perfect fit for Quinn?
Oh, well, if they said so.

I guess they have the background to get a job doing it in the NFL.  Oh wait.  No one is asking them.  Wonder why?  Could it be because they are just sport analyst, recruiters & writer who basically have never shown any ability to do it for real?  Just a wild guess.

I can understand how you put more stock into what those people think than the people who are paid to make those decisions, since you think its a good idea to draft your team based on what the fans think.

What makes you think you are the only fan that does their homework before a Draft? You must have had to widen the doorway at your home to fit that big ego through the door.
I do not do any home work.  I like to read & listen about the draft for a late winter/early spring football fix but I do not play fantasy NFL GM, nor pretend to be Mel Kiper Jr. Jr.   Grin

Everything I have said was reported about Quinn for everyone to read, hear if they choose to open their mind long enough to listen.  If someone actually sits at home & breaks down tape just for the fun of it.  Then, that is kinda sad.

What I know about draftees is what I read & hear.  Other than that I know little.  However, unlike some I do listen to what they say & they say Quinn was inaccurate in throws.

Lindy's had Quinn rated as a 3rd Rd. talent.  Sporting News had this to say about Quinn

He was listed as their Biggest Risk in the Qb Position.

Will be drafted in the first round because he is so technically sound, but he struggles with accuracy.

Beck BTW was their Sleeper pick.

Wow. Just wow. You will say anything just to win an argument.  Last Time I checked though he built a pretty good Cowboys team recently and has never been accused of cheating......... Roll Eyes

Its been almost 20 Yrs since he has won anything in the NFL. Fans ( Who know so much ) were screaming for Shula to be replace not much longer than that & Shula has a much better resume.

Parcells went 9-7 with basically the same team Wade Phillips took to 13-3.

As for Cam, being named the HC & part of the job of selecting the talent would be my guess.

I'll say it again.........It doesn't matter what becomes of Quinn or Ginn. The Right pick on that day at that time was Quinn. Miami's # 1 need since Dan Marino retired nearly 8 years ago was QB.
So basically it did not matter that the most important men who make these decisions deemed Quinn not worthy of being drafted in the top 20.  It was just that Miami needed a QB & should have taken one there regardless of what was thought of his talent.

Sorry, but I simply do not get that line of logic.

With Chris Chambers still on the roster at that time a receiver was NOT a pressing need.
How many times did you called for Chambers to be gotten rid of after he dropped yet another pass?

At the very least if he had his heart set on Beck he should have just traded down the #9 pick and grabbed Beck . Ginn no matter how good or bad he turns out (and I hope he's gonna turn out great)was an irresponsible pick with a 1st draft choice with so many other glaring needs .
Were there teams trying to trade up? It takes two to make a trade.

Houston reportedly was set to draft Ginn at No. 10, so if that report is accurate was drafting Ginn that far off?

That is the way it should be.  However, as with Jason Allen.  I get the feeling more fans would rather see them bomb, just so they can say.  I told you so.

Chad Henne would've been up there with Matt Ryan if not for that shoulder injury his senior year.

Mark my words, Chad Henne is our franchise QB.
