I think Frimp was being facetious.
However, in all seriousness, I've heard analysts on the 24 hour news channels talking about Palin and saying that Evangelicals are getting excited about her, partially because her daughter "made the pro life decision."
...and that pissed me off. She made a decision to have a child, yes. ...and good for her. But that's not a pro-life decision. By making the decision at all, it was a pro-choice decision. Had she not been given the opportunity to make that decision, it would've been a pro-life decision.
I think that people equate wanting to keep a baby with being pro-life. But they're not the same.
Lets also get real here. Mom is a pro-life governor. Who two years ago said she would oppose her own daughter having an abortion even in the case of rape. Alaska like most states require parental notification to get an abortion if you are 17 or under. I really doubt, it was a case of "Bristol, we will offer our love and support no matter what you choose." Followed by Bristol freely choosing to keep the child because that is what her heart told her. She didn't have a choice. I am not claiming Bristol would have had an abortion if she had a choice, but she didn't have a choice.
