The Miami Dolphins today waived fullback Boomer Grigsby and placed guard Donald Thomas on injured reserve with a foot injury. To take their spots on the 53-man roster, the team signed fullback Casey Cramer and guard Evan Mathis.

WTF??  I thought Thomas was sore and just needed to protect himself while wearing a foot brace until Wednesday's practice??  Where did this come from??

And did Grigsby really suck that bad in the opener that he's not getting a second chance?

I thought they loved Grigsby so much that they cut Mauia, and now they've decided that we're gonna roll out with some free agent bum?

Thomas being hurt is obviously the bigger news but what ya gonna do about an injury?  With that said, how do they explain the Grigsby waiver.  Can Cramer really be enough of an upgrade to make a change now, if he is an upgrade at all?

Meh.  Hate to say it, but the fullback's a dying position.  Don't know why they did it, though.  Maybe Cramer's an upgrade on special teams.

I think they (Irish Tuna coalition) didn't feel that either Mauia or Grigsby were worth keeping, and they're still looking for the answer at fullback.

Bummer about Thomas...we need all the young players to stay as healthy as possible so they can develop on the field.

They still refuse to elaborate on Thomas's ankle injury.  At least they're saying it was an ankle injury.  A sprained ankle is no reason to put someone on IR.

  I know this is old news, but I haven't had a chance to weigh in on this.  I'm not surprised that Boomer got cut, he's one a trick pony.  He's good at Special Teams, but he sucks as a blocker, and couldn't catch the ball consistently.  Reagan Mauia could open up running lanes, but he couldn't catch at all, and wasn't good on Special Teams.  To be a FB in this regime, you've got to be proficient in all three areas.  Whether Casey Cramer is the long term solution at FB, I have no idea.  Time will tell.
