Ok the Company line is that the Dolphin Cut Te Sean ryan,also made a Practice squad move
September 12, 2008-The Miami Dolphins were awarded offensive tackle Kirk Barton off waivers from the Chicago Bears and released tight end Sean Ryan. Also on Friday, the team released offensive tackle Daren Heerspink off its practice squad and signed tight end Drew Atchison to take his place.

For a half-second there, I thought it was former Niners OT "Harris" Barton, and I was thinking "damn, dude's gotta be my age (45)."

Apparently that new FB they signed this week (Casey Cramer) can also line up as a TE, so it made Ryan expendable.

I was thinking Harris Barton too when I read the title. I was about to post, saying that we might as well get Phil Sims or Jeff Hostetler at QB as well.
