It is time to face the fact. Brett Farve is nothing more than a system QB. Look at what Rodgers is doing in that system. He is making Farve look very pedestrian. And it the Jets system he is no better than Chad Pennington. As much as everyone want to think Farve is a great HOF QB, it is clear he is nothing more than a system QB.   Grin

I know.  Very often.  My post was a satirical take off on those comments.

Gotta give credit were its due. Brett was a fantastic QB. Playing in conditions that most would crawl up in a ball and die in.........he excelled and NEVER missed a start. Even broke all of Marino's records and got a ring along the way.

That said........I hope he does a Brady next week and blows the Jets chances of any post season success.  Evil

Thats where we differ.  I don't want Brett to get injured.

But I am hoping that he solidifies his career int record and takes the fumble record from Moon.

Tough shit. He went to the enemy. What I'm scared of is Brett could probably rip both knees and he would still insist on playing like that Monty Python guy with no legs saying he was gonna kick your ass.............

I know you're half-kidding.

But I think that Brett Favre is possibly the most over-rated player in the game, and the Jets are frauds.

They beat us (who showed our true colors in week two) and everyone was crowing them as the team to beat.

How is he over rated when he holds most of the NFL passing records and never misses a start?  And he's got 1 thing Danny boy never got........Jewelry.  Wink

I'm not saying that he's over-rated in terms of being an important QB to the history of the game.  ...but his play NOW, at this point in his career isn't up to the hype it receives.

His jewelry and all his records don't make him any better when he hits the field next Sunday, where I find him to be a good, but not great QB.

He's thrown almost 300 INT in his career. Because it's Favre it's caled "Gunslinging". Any other QB it would be called "waivers".

Fair enough ^

But sometimes that Veteran instinct and leadership can go a long way too. Man I wish Marino had another season or 2 in those bad knees. We really had a great deffense just starting to develop when he left.

2 games into the season and you put the jury out on him already.  Well the same can be said about  Tom Brady.  Tom will suck in anybody else system!
