I am Patriot homer.  And I say that is out of whack.  Cassel is not that good and the Fins are not that bad.

I disagree... and I somewhat think you're fishing here and deliberately misstating your position Wink

No way do the Phins cover the spread. If I had to place a bet, it'd be on NE-13.5.

^^^ No I am not, I predict the Pats will win, but I don't expect them to cover.

This score will have everything to do with how long Bellichek keeps his foot on the gas.  They can torch us by 30 points, easily.  It's just a question of how Bellichek wants to play it.  He can get a lead, and then carefully protect it, because he's got an inexperienced quarterback that he doesn't want to get rattled.  ...or he can choose to have the guy hit us hard to build his confidence.

I don't think Matt Cassel can torch the Dolphins by 30.  But as for how BB will play it, have you ever seen him take the the foot off the gas?  His motto is "the best way to protect a 28 point lead is a 35 point lead."

Yes, but he said this with complete confidence in his offense.  If he thinks that Cassel might turn it over and cause problems, he might be more conservative than he was with Brady.

He might (big might) be more conservative because he has already lost one QB for the season,

20-10 pats. The pats don't have enough confidence in Cassell yet to unleash him. The pats will make enough plays to keep miami at bay.

If the Pats win by by more than 10, it will be because the Pats defense got more TDs than the Dolphins offense.

If you're ever going to give Cassel a chance to unload, this is that chance.  Why not let him take a shot downfield when Randy Moss will be standing 50 yards away all by himself?

Pats 27
Miami 10

Unleash Cassel.  Let him get the ball to Moss before he gets mad. Welker looks like Cassel's go to guy.  Welker can have just as much fantasy value points as Moss this year now with Brady out.

Pats D will get to the phins in this game and Cassel will look like a star in this one playing one of the worst teams in the NFL. I say Pats cover the point spred 13.5
