He's a deep threat and we don't have a starting QB that can throw a deep ball...His best aspect is kick returns and we don't use him for that...he maybe a bust(I say we wait until the end of the season to say that), but he can still be useful to Miami.

I couldnt agree with you more.  Ted Ginn Jr will go down as the biggest bust in Miami Dolphins history.

Only time will tell. Will TG Jr. match the incredible shiteousness of Jamar Fletcher, Sammy Smith, Jackie Shipp, Eric Kumerow, Billy Milner, or John Avery? Or how about the other 1st round pick on the current roster, 3rd string DB Jason Allen? And don't forget Eddie Moore and Earthquake Blake, or AJ Feeley and Daunte Culpepper. Or to reach way back in history, the immortal Rick Norton (2nd overall pick in the 1966 AFL draft, 28.1 career passer rating)?

Will Ted Ginn and his family go down as the worst ever? The competition is tough.

He caught 5 passes for 49 yds yesterday. decent.  But he also fumbled a pass that lucikly went out of bounds becuase he folds like and acordian as soon as he's hit.  He's a Track Star not a Football player IMO.

Yeap, because no one else in the NFL fumbles when being hit, so it must be that.

Late reply, but re: Ginn fumble:

Was I the only person that saw that he clearly tried to lateral that?  I think he was aware that it was a free play (because of the offsides called).

Did not see that, but if so then heads up on his part.

I noticed that he went out of bounds or went down as soon as he saw he was going to get hit.  He's scared of taking a good, solid whack.  We don't need his kind around here.

you're so blinded by your Cam Cameron hatred that you don't even see what's going on.  The guy made a great acrobatic catch on the sideline and went out of bounds and you say "he's afraid to take a hit"

He also caught a couple more passes on the sidelines, then as he was about to get hit, he ran out of bounds rather than lower his shoulder and fight for a couple extra yards.

and every QB that does a hook slide after a scramble is a pussy, or if he throws the ball to no one when he's outside of the pocket.

Coaches tell players not to take unnecessary hits.

It'd be nice if you'd stop hating for a minute.  They guy had a good game.  It'll never be good enough for you'  He could return 2 punts for TD's, have 140 yds receiving and 4 TD's and you'd still bitch about the time he dropped a ball on 3rd and 2.

I watched the game again yesterday and on the play where "everyone here" was complaining that Ginn didn't stay in bounds, I firmly believe he made the right play. It was second and 7 with two-minutes forty or something left. He is thrown the ball in a stay route and runs up the field, fairly close to the sideline. The defender (Cromartie) is in front of him, on his inside. If Ginn lowers and stays in, he gets 4-5 yards at most. Instead, he tries to go for the first down and gets 6 of the 7 yards, but is tackled out which stops the clock. Personally, I think the attempt at a new first down - or at least to get as close as possible for a short 3rd down - was the right choice.

As it happened, Ronnie got exactly enough for a first down on the next play (they had to bring out the chain and measure).

Criticizing Ginn for trying to gain as many yards as possible in this situation is just not reasonable, IMHO. On this particular occasion, Ginn made the right decision.

As for not wanting to take the hit, I doubt the hit would have been any different. He still got hit full speed by Cromartie, the only difference was instead of lowering and preparing for the hit as some here would have preferred, he took the hit in a far more unprotected stance.

Yet, two plays before that, Ronnie ran for a first down then ran out of bounds but Tommy doesn't seem to criticize that one cause its not Ted Ginn... Roll Eyes

I noticed this as well....there is no way Mr. Parcells and Coach Sparano will keep Tedd Ginn around after this season, unless he grows a set of nuts....they like tough guys who play hard nosed football that hustle every play till the whistle blows....Ginn is the total opposite of a "Parcells" guy....he is a big-time PANSY,  who was demoted on punt returns and kick returns because of his lack of toughness and tendency to run out of bounds ( or just not field the kick)  unless a hole the size of Rhode Island opened up....also a good WR dosen't run out of bounds after they catch the ball, they turn upfield and try and make a play ( YAC)!!! By some people's standards, every receiver in the NFL is a big pussy then because I guarantee you that every single one of them has run out of bounds at one point or another.

Ginn is improving every game.  We need to stop hating and support our team, no matter who drafted them.
