Football is a physical game.  Ginn is a speed guy, he's not David Boston.  Ginn's not a over-the-middle type of receiver.  He's a streak down the sideline type.  There's three problems with this...

1.) he doesn't have time to streak past any DB's cause the line can't hold guys off long enough to let him go.
2.) Pennington can't throw the ball that far accurately
3.) If he gets bumped early in his route and knocked off course, every QB is going to look for option #2.

I agree he needs to work on fixing #3 by getting more physical and developing better tools, but basically, DB's don't respect his speed because of #1 and #2.  So, they resort to playing close, bumping early, and shutting Ginn down.

How many deep balls has Pennington thrown this season, in two games?  I don't remember a single one.
That is a good argument Brian, and I agree with you.

Ted is not a complete bust even now.  He can run the hell out of some punts and that puts him way ahead of Yatil Green.

I really liked Ginn better then Santonio Holmes at OSU. I think that if those 2 switched addresses their stats would reflect the others at this point.

And to add more on this.... it looks like Brady Quinn's time may come in Cleveland.

Because they will always be linked due to Cam Cameron's inability to evaluate talent.

Maybe in your mind.  Most of the rest of us have moved on to the present and the future.

I guess by that reasoning, John Avery will always be linked to Randy Moss for you, too?

HOW can you name great Dolphin busts and not mention John Avery, the man taken (in a roundabout way) instead of Randy Moss?!  Jamar Fletcher is also worth mentioning, since I think Reggie Wayne was available.  Mmmm...Randy Moss and Reggie Wayne as my starting WRs...

Ginn would be good in the CFL, so he could get a running start and maybe get off the line of scrimmage.

Funny thing is, I have both those guys as my starting wide receivers in FFL.

Wayne was available.  I remember the '01 draft when they "The Draft Experts" thought Wayne might be to slow.

And if Quinn bombs, then what?

BTW, you would have already called Quinn a bust had he arrived in Miami & played like most every rookie QB plays.

I am still amazed when I look back at this no. 1 pick from last year.  WHAT THE HELL was sham cameron thinking when he took this???  this will go down in Phins history as THE worst pick ever....this beats out Eric Kumerow, John Bosa or Yatil Green.

I couldnt agree with you more.  Ted Ginn Jr will go down as the biggest bust in Miami Dolphins history.  Im tired of hearing all the excuses for this guy.  Yes, the Dolphins as a team are not that good, but come on now, this guy has showed us very little if anything since being drafted.

The Dolphins as a team cannot be held responsible for this guy sucking.  We have an undrafted free agent on our roster who is two times the player than the NINTH player selected in the first round.

Ted Ginn Jr sucks...... plain and simple.
