My kids have Rock Band 1 but I don't play it. The funniest thing I ever seen with this game was watching Gene Simmons Family Jewels, the lead guitarist and drummer of Kiss joined Gene in playing this game challenging Genes son and his friends. Gene and his group stunk really bad they failed every song.

Was it under warranty ? If so it will take about three weeks to get it back, but they throw a free month of XBOX Live gold to gain back your confidence.
Mine broke down too, the red rings of death, only had it 6 months.

We're out of the year warranty but the Red Ring is covered for 3 years and we're within that.

I'm at 14 months before I got a red ring, but my red ring is intermittent.  I just want my xbox back.

yeah - no thanks.  Feel free to start a charitable donation to "buy me a new xbox" fund.  If you find 200 people to donate a dollar, I can go get it tonight.

I do have "real musical talent."  I've played the guitar from age 8, sax from age 10 and a wide array of other through the years.

I am also a sharp shooter in real life.  Should I get on a roof top and start shooting people instead of playing Call of Duty 4?

I have a two year old.  When would I possibly have time to "join a real band?"

This works fine for me, it's called a (ready...wait for it...) GAME.  I'm not pulling a Jtex and saying it's the same thing.  I'm saying it's fun and less time consuming than getting four rag tag clowns together in a garage and playing "Paranoid" off key for the 100,000th time.

Brian, have you sent off your box?  If so, when did you do it.  I've heard that the turnaround is very quick.

Joe Tex left his Rock Band set over here and I've been playing with it here and there.

I find the drums to be broken (on the set that I have here, anyway -- 360 version)  It's correct about 98% of the time, but that's just not good enough.  I miss notes for no reason that I'm hitting perfectly.  It happens about 5 times per song.

On the easier difficulties, it's not a big deal, because I'm getting a high enough score to breeze through, but now that I'm playing on hard and expert, I just can't afford to miss random notes and break my streaks.  It's really frustrating.

I don't have the same issue with the guitar, which operates on the same premise of timing.  The guitar always works, just like I'd expect it to.  Do you guys notice this happening on your drum sets, as well.

Joe beats the piss out of the drums, so, frankly I'm not surprised if something is intermittently busted.  My drum set works perfectly, because I don't hit them that hard (they make too much friggin noise).

Maine - my xbox is on its way back.  It will be here Friday.  I already have RB2 sitting on my entertainment center ready to rock out.  You gonna be ready to get your ass whipped this weekend?
