I think you should at least be concerned enough to question it.

It was a rhetorical question...I better make this clear also,It's not as much of what the concern,it's the media, and evidence in which it's being used....Blogs,and youtube videos...Aren't news sources, and credibility is still an issue...(as I found out a week and half ago, when We tried to use a Blog entry to back up what a witness said..)

Funny .... Palin and McCain are in the stadium with thousands of people for an hour or so and they are responsible for whatever any one of those people say AND for any action that may result from it.  All we have is the word of reporters for national news outlets - which is not supported by the local media that was also in attendance.

Obama worked with and for a man who bombed several building in the US with the intent to kill its inhabitants and who to this day says that his only regret was not having bombed more, but Obama should not be judged for that association that lasted nearly a decade by his own admission.

No one is claiming Obama is a terrorist, just that he has associations with two of them... Ayers and Dorn, as well as Marilyn Katz, head of security SDS in the late 1960's.

For the record, Marilyn Katz is one of Obama's advisors and she's known Bill Ayers since he was 17 years old.

Given on the associations, Obama's claim that he had no clue about Ayers past is either an outright lie or makes Obama to most uninquisitive and clueless candidate to the office of president ... ever.

I don't get the double standard.

Funny that they keep rattling off domestic terrorist in a climate of warmongering and fear of terrorism that both the administration has been rattling off for eight years straight, and the crop of candidates for president when they were running. Combine this with the "innocent" mistakes made by both Fox and CNN calling Obama by the wrong name, and putting a picture up of Osama with Obama's name below it, and you have a boiling pot of fear and anger ready to explode. McCain may not have caused this whole thing, but he sure did nothing to calm things down by standing on stage next to Palin as she kept railing about Obama's ties to a domestic terrorist and stirring up the crowd. He only stepped in when it looked as if there was going to be a voter backlash from moderates and undecided voters.
Plus the biggest crisis and issue we are currently facing is the economy, and THAT is what both candidates need to be worried about, because that is what the voters are.

Secret Service says "Kill him" allegation unfounded
By Andrew M. Seder aseder@timesleader.com
Staff Writer

SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.

The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Oabama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him."

News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story.

Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment.

“I was baffled,” he said after reading the report in Wednesday’s Times-Tribune.

He said the agency conducted an investigation Wednesday, after seeing the story, and could not find one person to corroborate the allegation other than Singleton.

Slavoski said more than 20 non-security agents were interviewed Wednesday, from news media to ordinary citizens in attendance at the rally for the Republican vice presidential candidate held at the Riverfront Sports Complex. He said Singleton was the only one to say he heard someone yell “kill him.”

“We have yet to find someone to back up the story,” Slavoski said. “We had people all over and we have yet to find anyone who said they heard it.”

Hackett said he did not hear the remark.

Slavoski said Singleton was interviewed Wednesday and stood by his story but couldn’t give a description of the man because he didn’t see him he only heard him.

When contacted Wednesday afternoon, Singleton referred questions to Times-Tribune Metro Editor Jeff Sonderman. Sonderman said, “We stand by the story. The facts reported are true and that’s really all there is.”

Slavoski said the agents take such threats or comments seriously and immediately opened an investigation but after due diligence “as far as we’re concerned it’s closed unless someone comes forward.” He urged anyone with knowledge of the alleged incident to call him at 346-5781. “We’ll run at all leads,” he said.

Tommy they have been indicted in about 13 states for voter fraud.  This has been an issue with them for years.  They even have been accused of strong arming people to get their way.  People say that Obama was instumental in their existance as a "commnuity organizer" for Chicago but he adamently denies it.  What he doesn't deny, or explain , is the money that he has given to them and their subsideraries.

Clinton brought this up in the primaries but failed to follow through on it and now conservatives have been screaming about it for weeks.

I am really surprised you have just heard about it as it has been pretty big news ...  on the conservative side at least. A stat that you may find interesting ... they have registered the Dallas Cowboys in several states to vote.

Not really.  They're in hot water for registration fraud...not voter fraud.  That's a big difference.

The story is this: ACORN pays people to go get voter registrations.  Sometimes, to fill their quota, these people who they've hired will fill out fake names so that they can get paid.

I've got a lot going on right now that I'm not going to share here, but honestly, I wasn't paying attention to this one until the day before yesterday when I saw the headline.

It really looks bad since they focus on registering voters you would typically think of as leaning toward Democrats, but like Dave said, I expect most of it is because they are just trying to fill quotas to make cash. I am not sure if the laws were ever changed, but there were a few places that did not require ID for voting. I seriously hope that has changed in this day and time though.

ACORN is not partisan organization, but their goal is to get the poor more involved in politics.  ...and like Phish said, that demographic leans Democrat.
