THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

« on: October 12, 2008, 04:12:50 pm »

Sparano made some foolish decisions, such as challenging that spot when it was obvious it was not going to be overturned and then not going for it on that fourth down.  Also, he didn't play Allen or Ginn.

Hill could get it for dropping the pick.

Pasqualoni

That draw was so ridiculously obvious and not having ANYONE in the middle meant that the Texans had something like 5 guys blocking 3 of ours. How hard to open up a lane and allow Schaub to run for a few yards?

Pathetic.

My shame of the game is we did not win this game. As far Ginn not playing he played the whole game he just can't get open. The defense doesn't respect his speed and play up on the line. So my biggest shame goes to Ginn he has done nothing to help this team this year, heck they throw a quick pass out to him what does he do, he runs side ways and then behind the line of scrimmage and gets thrown for a lost.

Ginn got open several times - pretty much every time the camera showed anything downfield (which happens very rarely). Pennington just can't throw the ball more than 2 yards. A fly along the sideline? Forget about it. There's just no way that happens with Pennington. Not that I blame him. He does what he does and he does it very, very well.

While I agree with you ... the whole bar at Gators called the QB draw as soon as they lined up ... I would go a step farthur and say the entire coaching staff.  Special teams was horrible, offense wasn't allowed to go for it on 4th qand inches twice, and then the complete defensive debacle on the last play.

^Gators Dockside in Tampa off of Fowler?  I was there today getting drunk as our team pissed away that game...pathetic not seeing that QB draw...ugh I'm sick right now.  So I have to say shame of the game goes toooooooo......special teams.....not acceptable to let a punt return go back for a TD when you are dominating a game (Shockingly Andre Goodman actually had a good game...he's usually my SOG).

my biggest shame goes to Ginn
Do us a favor and don't vote anymore if you're going to blindly vote for Ginn every week just because you hate him. Roll Eyes

Pasqualoni gets the shame this week.  With the game on the line the defense folded like a deck of cards.  They only had to stop them on one play and they left the entire middle of the field open three yards away from the goal line?  Where were the LB's?  Too focused on the pass, IMO, and no one stayed home to contain.  I could have scored a TD in that situation.

That said, Andre Goodman is a liability on the field, but he had a coupla good plays so I didn't give him the shame this week.  His man went for 170+ yards receiving, because Goodman gives the guy 10 yards cushion off the line.  And, when he's gotta play up, he turns his back to the line off the snap.  Andre Goodman needs some lessons, or some bench time.

Also word to Renaldo Hill dropping that pick.  Inexcusable.

No way does that fly. Several times I saw Ginn jammed at the line of scrimmage. The defense played him up tight on the line, which means they don't respect his speed and his ability to get open. Pennington hit Ronnie Brown deep down the side lines for 39 yards so he can indeed throw in longer then 3 yards. You say Ginn does what he does best, what is that, is it keeping his uniform clean?
Ginn hands down is the shame of this team and the week.
Brian I have not voted for Ted Ginn Jr every week and I do not hate him, I want him to start making plays and helping this team, he has not done that. He looked so good in preseason and I was excited that maybe he would start playing like a first round draft choice.

You need some SERIOUS reading comprehension classes. PENNINGTON does what PENNINGTON does best, to use your paraphrasing.

"There's just no way that happens with Pennington. Not that I blame him. He does what he does and he does it very, very well. "

I don't blame PENNINGTON. PENNINGTON does what PENNINGTON does and PENNINGTON does it very, very well.

Frimp - His deviation from past winning protocol in the game predictions thread cost the Dolphins the game.

The Miami secondary gets this weeks shame of the game ( including Yeremiah Bell who got burnt a number of times).

Tedd Ginn Jr gets SOG on offense for not doing JACK SHIT once again...Ginn is a Fuckin joke.  I hope Parcells/Ireland/Sparano gets rid of this bum.

Based on the line of thinking of several people in this thread, I give it to Ernest Wilford. He didn't do anything today. In fact, if these guys think Ginn is sooooo bad, why can't Wilford beat him out? To use the words of another member- Wilford hands down is the shame of this team and the week. Bum.

I agree, Wilford did nothing to get open all day.

Honorable Mention to Reggie Torbor for not tackling Matt Schaub on the last play.

I said on the show that as much as I hated to do it, I was calling out Bell as my dud for this week. I just had a funny feeling he was going to get burnt in pass coverage.

My shamer goes, like a lot of other folks', to Pasqualoni. I was screaming at my TV to cover that soft belly, but they just couldn't hear me.  Tough loss to take in the wake of those two impressive wins.
