Here's what this debate looks like:

Obama: "I want to do #1, #2, and #3, and McCain doesn't"
McCain (making stupid fat faces and blinking like a fish): "You know, Sen. Obama [insert some obscure crap]. He [some other crap]...I watched the Arizona Cardinals beat the Cowboys on Sunday (stupid cheesy grin".

Is there any way McCain can show respect for the person whooping his old fat ass around the country, and not make faces, sigh heavily, blink a million times, and be a total fucking asshole? He has no right to bitch about Obama's negative ads against McCain if McCain is going to act like a 17-year old debate class moron.

I would just like a regular debate - just talking. No bullshit faces, fake laughs or fake smiling, and stupid body-language. Obama is 100% respectful to the old fart, and the old fart continuously treats Obama as if he doesn't realize Obama is completely destroying him accross the country. Is McCain just one of those "I used to walk 10 miles uphill in snow both ways" old overbearing preaching assholes...or does he hate black people? It's either one or the other.

Hah! I was just saying how rude Obama is being. He won't even look at McCain when he is being spoken too. He's standing there with that smug look on his face I want to smack off him. And for the record McCain is def. winning this one so far.

You could see McCain was hungrier on this one.  I still think Obama is the better articulator of points.  I think this race just turned from a blowout to a "we'll see."

According to CNN and other media outlets, a polls show that debate watchers thought Obama won, 58% to 31%.

Obama's "favorable" rose three percentage points (from before the debate), while McCains fell two (63% to 66% for Obama, 41% to 39% for McCain).

Who would do a better job on taxes? Obama +15 percentage points.
Who would do a better job on health care? Obama +31 percentage points.
Who more clearly expressed their views? Obama +41 percentage points.
Who is the stronger leader? Obama +25 percentage points.
Who is the more likeable person? Obama +48 points.
Who spent more time attacking their opponent: McCain +73 percenage points.
Who is the more typical politician: McCain +19 percentage points.

The problem for McCain is that independents this election have generally not liked attacks and negative comments. Every time McCain has come out with strong attacks, he's LOST independents. It's great for firing up the base, but at this point it just feels like he's given up on independents. Unless something changes over the next three weeks, his chance rests on turnout.

He was trying hard not to insult or look like a racist or a number of other things. He wanted to be likable. I think at this point he needed to throw caution to the wind and come out with guns blazing. Too little maybe too late. Obama is definitely the better speaker. The man can make a point . But McCain is the one I'd want in a fight for sure.  However at this time I don't think what this country needs is another fight.

What this country needs is someone who can get us out of this economic crisis by the end of the first presidential term.  Obama has the chance to be the next FDR........ or the next Herbert Hoover.

Did someone spray mace on John McCain before the debate.  He blinked a million times per second.

Honestly, I thought this was McCain's best debate, and the best debate between the two of all three.  McCain came out strong and had Obama on the defense for the first part of it.  When it got to the stuff about Ayers and Acorn is where I think things changed.  It made McCain look petty and Obama clearly explained it, but McCain kept hammering, unsuccessfully, in my opinion.  After that, Obama picked up steam and closed stronger than McCain.

I think that McCain has old tactics -- talking about "Joe the plumber", Herbert Hoover, town-hall meetings, etc.

I almost died laughing when McCain was going on and on about the healthcare fine and Obama said that the fine is zero. The look on McCain's face was priceless
