Defensive Coordinator Paul Pasqualoni clearly did not prepare this defense at all for this game. Absolutely atrocious defensive play.

I'm giving my Shame of the Game to secondary coach Todd Bowles. While the run defense did ok, the secondary got torched for over 400 yards by Matt Cassel (MATT CASSEL??)

I actually thought Jason Allen did OK considering he spent much of the game 1on1 with quite possibly the best reciever to ever play the game.
The "best receiver to ever play the game"?? You have GOT to be shitting me.

I've gotta go with the guy who came up with the defensive game plan, so probably Pasqualoni.
Jason Allen 1-on-1 with Moss... not a good plan and when it blew up, there was no (apparent) attempt to adapt.
Almost everything went wrong in this game, right from the game prep. The expectation was (according to players after the game) that New England would run the ball and protect Cassel.
What? Didn't they get tape from last week's Jets game? Cassel 400 yards. Anyone who's even seen the highlights of the Patriots' games would know that Cassel has been entrusted to do more and more every week. Sure, they aren't about to force him to pass when the running game is working, but the problem in Miami has been stopping the passing game, not the running game.
What did they expect New England to do? Deviate from their trend of giving Cassel more to do each week? Attack the strongest aspect of our defense? The only real weakness in our run D has been runs at left defensive end (Langford, although it has as much to do with the linebacker support in the 3-4).
Bad coaching, bad play... just not a good game.

Co Shame of the games to Dan Henning, for not running the football more than 20 times and keep Matt Cassel and Randy Moss off the field, and Paul Pasqualoni for not having a pass defense and then making the same mistakes as what cost us the Houston Texans game. We didn't leave anyone in the middle, Shaub saw it took off and scored the winning touchdown. We then did the same thing against Cassel, same result, and then Sammy Morris scored from the 10 on a similar run when we left no one in the middle again.
Our guys were ready to play, and in an important game we fell short, not because of lack of effort or desire but because of lack of brains.

Does this even deserve a response?
Yes it does. What makes you think Randy Moss is the best receiver to ever play the game?? There are some receivers out there who were way better than Moss will ever be..... and who conducted themselves with class.
