Yes, I do. Am I rooting for the Jets? Yes, I am.

But, you're a Dolphins fan! How could you do that? Well, I'll tell you. But, lets rewind, shall we?

Last season, Bret Favre retires after being one game out of the Super Bowl. So, he retires, and a week or two later decides he wants to come back. Our entire off season AND preseason was 90% Favre coverage, 5% Packers coverage, and 5% rest of the league coverage. He then goes to the Jets, and all we hear is Favre this, and Favre that! Tonight, in WEEK 12, Favre was mentioned too many times. GET OVER IT!!!!

So, why do I want the hated Jets to win the big game? So Favre will get his Super Bowl win, and RETIRE, leaving the Jets without a quarterback, and having the Jets fans wondering if the short term solution was worth it when they are 0-6 next year, and the Dolphins and Chad Pennington have throttled them. If they lose, or don't make it there ar all, we will have to endure all off season and preseason hearing about 'Will Favre come back?" 'Will he retire?' 'Will the Jets go all the way if he does come back?' What will Aaron Rogers think if he does come back?' 'What will Packer fans think if Favre does come back.' 'What will Jets fans think if he leaves?' 'Favre's impact on the Jets...Interview with Joe Namath coming up at 10' SCREW that.

Let them win, get it out of their system, and as a result, the Jets will get back into the ass end of the AFC East where they belong. (Selfish person, remember?) J-E-T-S...JUST EFFECT THE SUPERBOWL!!! (Sorry about the E, but it was the only word starting with E that would even remotely fit, other than execute and exploit. If you come up with another one, let me know.)

I can think of few things worse than the Jets winning the Super Bowl.

I would rather just have Favre keep them competitive-ish for 5 more years, holding their franchise hostage each off-season.

That would be funny too.  Grin

I added a few points to my post too.

I would rather him stick around, us build up our team, crush the Jets every year after that, and make Favre come to the realization that he should have retired before he became a whinny little taint...nothing is worse than a Jets Superbowl victory.

If the Jets win the Super Bowl, Favre would have been worth it. In the NFL nothing is guaranteed. So hoping for a Dolphins dynasty, or dominance over the Jets is something I'm not too concerned about right now. I just want to see them win it once while I'm still breathing, dammit. If they can pull multiple titles, even better.  As a Marlins and Heat fan, I can take solace in having seen my favorite team win the big one. They blow now, but who cares, they won it all when I was alive and able to witness it.

In closing, it would suck donkey balls to see the Jets win it all. But funny, cause it would be a big middle finger to the Packers at the same time.

I doubt winning the SB would push Favre to retire. He might regardless, but playing at a high level (or perceived high level) is only going to increase his motivation to continue.

Remember, he already has a SB ring, so it's not like he's chasing the one that got away or something.

Screw that.

I want the Jets to be one and done in a playoff game that makes our flameout to Jacksonville look like it was a close game.  In that game I want Favre to throw 9 int's, 6 returned for touchdowns, and fumble four more times en-route to a 21 completions to 98 attempts for 98 yards.  Oh, he's sacked 12 times, too.

In the last moments of the game Favre gets into a fist fight with Thomas Jones and Coles.  Mangini tries to pull them apart and, next thing you know, he's beating down Favre as well.  Thomas and Coles are suspended by the league for a year, the Jets are fined a 1st round pick and Mangini is fired.

Brett figures it's all downhill from here and retires as he, and the Jets, spiral into disgrace.

THAT would be a ending fitting for the Jets.

Denver will beat them in the playoffs, so fear not.

How about Brett Faver Media Whore goes down due to a separated rectum, his colon falls out during a game, like that picture of the body builder who loses his innerds mid lift, he is then out for the year and then the most useless franchise in NFL history picks up and relocates to L.A.?

They'll be 6-10 next year even if he stays because that's how the NFL is now.  So it doesn't matter.

That is the stupidest rationale I have ever read. What a waste of 1.5 minutes.

Don't worry,Jets haters,Favre will find a way to screw up their playoff run. They will be 3 minutes away from the AFC championship, have the ball at their own 40 yard line, all they need to do is hand off a few times and it's a lock. But Favre will then either throw the flutter ball or try and complete a pass by throwing the ball right through 5 guys bodies,he will then get picked, the other team will score and win,and Brett will give his standard,"aw shucks" press conference. He will then spend the next 6 months holding the Jets hostage contemplating his retirement.(I've watched this movie for the past 6 years)
