Not a head coach, mind you.  Offensive coach.

I heard a lot of "anyone can do what he did in San Diego with the talent he had, I'm not impressed talk" about Cameron's abilities as an offensive coordinator.  I said before, I'll say again - I think he is one of the better offensive minds in the league.  This season supports that.

The Ravens have historically struggled with the ball.  The year they won the Super Bowl I believe they had the lowest rated offensive output for a Super Bowl winning team in the history of the NFL?  Not sure on that, thought I read it somewhere.

This year, Cameron is working with a rookie QB.  A core of wide receivers that are so unknown they couldn't get comped on a cup of coffee in their own home town.  A running back that is playing...and then isn't...and then is...and a bunch of "who?" back up guys that he's slotting in.

Points scored?  One of the best in the conference

1.    New York Jets  370
2.    Tennessee Titans  304
3.    Baltimore Ravens  292
3a.  Denver Broncos 292
4.    San Diego Chargers 290
5.    Houston Texans  282

I realize that offensive output has a heck of a lot more to do with overall points scored.  Yards per game they are 19th...which is a little misleading because they are less than 20 yards per game away from being in the top 10.  It's a log jam after the top 8.  They are #8 in the AFC in total yards gained on offense.

3rd down percentage?  43%, good for 5th.  Time of possesion?  #1 and by over a minute.

Last season?  They scored 275 points all year.  With four games left they've already scored more this season than last.

I think Cameron has a lot to do with this offense "coming to life", so to speak.

Cam is a good OC.  He always was.  He just sucked as a HC.

absolutely.  look at what he's doing wiht a ROOKIE.   however to be fair, their WR's are somewhat decent (heap is a BEAST and clayton is very good).  also, the guys running the rock have some skill (rice and mcclain will be a devastating 1-2 for the next few years).

that being said, yes, camoron is doing a hell of a job and proving why he's one of the most respected offensive minds in the league.

Norv Turner is also a great OC, he is just such a disaster as a head coach, it effects his offense as well.

Cameron is a very good coordinator and a really good guy, he either isn't fit for head coaching or wasn't ready. Unfortunately for him, I just don't think he will ever be good.

Cam is pretty much the equivalent of guys like: Norv Turner, Scott Linehan, etc.  Great coordinator, lousy head coach.
