We won an offensive shootout against a team that has given alot of good teams this year a run for their money. We won that game in the coldest temps this franchise has ever seen...in December no less. This gives our guys a feeling of what to expect next week...a shootout in freaky cold temps.

1.  The Jets offense is nowhere near as explosive as the Chiefs.

2. I'd rather be playing in New York in December than KC.  Believe it or not, it might be 20 to 30 degrees warmer in New York.  The ocean currents make a big difference.

First off, that was not a fumble by Ricky Williams.  Stevie Wonder could've seen that it was CLEARLY not a fumble.  Anyways, my Shame of the Game goes to LB Joey Porter.  He was a non factor all day.

^^ Agreed 619.... In the biggest game of the season so far, Joey Porter did absolutely NOTHING to help the PHINS win.  Porter is this weeks SOTG.

Ricky Williams DID NOT fumble!

A few things -

Ricky's "fumble" probably wasn't a fumble but, rightfully so, they let the play go on, figuring they can settle it in the booth (since its inside 2 minutes).  Ite better to do that than to blow the whistle and make it an unreviewable play a la Ed Hochuli Week 1.

Secondly, Joey Porter was invisible, and wasn't getting doubled too often.  Part of it can be attributed to a great left-side of the Chiefs' line, and part to a fairly mobile QB in Tyler Thigpen.

Thirdly, the fade route was only a bad call because it didn't work.  If they gave the ball to Polite on the inside hand-off against a 10-man front, you'd be screaming about having a too-obvious play call.  It was probably a good call, although I would have rather seen it be a slant rather than a fade.

My shame goes to the CBS camera man on the far side of the field.  His job is to obtain the reverse angle picture and, had he been in position during the Ricky Williams "fumble," the call would have been reversed.  He fell asleep on the job and cost the Dolphins possession.

Randy Cross...for making my ears Bleed....AWFUL

I thought there were some strange calls...the "fumble on the Catch Ronnie Brown had early in the game, that didn't happen because of a Penalty (hitting Chad Pennington Low). The Bradley Catch on the sideline, that was a Catch? That was some VERY VERY Liberal interpretation of Possession IMO...Then the Ricky Fumble at the end of the game....

I wasn't happy with the idea of Ricky carrying the ball late,he does have tendancyto fumble

Agreed.  Randy Cross is on my "Top 5 People to Punch in the Face" list.

Secondly, Joey Porter was invisible, and wasn't getting doubled too often.  Part of it can be attributed to a great left-side of the Chiefs' line, and part to a fairly mobile QB in Tyler Thigpen.

I think Porter moved around a little, and if he didn't he should have.  I like to pick on our DBs but our LB core is hurting without Crowder.  Porter is the mouthpiece and since the whole D didn't show and he did zilch, he gets SOTG.  A little pressure would help the DBs and this was a great time for him to step up in Crowder's absence--possibly even show he's more than a pass rusher.  Comparing and contrasting Porter and Taylor is pointless since we're talking about this particular game.

Watching the game, I would have taken the field goal instead of the fade.  At the time I was pissed, but Brian makes a good point about things being good when they work and vice versa.

I watched part of the NFL replay...And I don't think we were exactly "Attacking" the QB...I feel like we wanted to keep Thigpin contained...and not let him run....Make him feel the pressure,to throw the ball early, but not enough to get him to run...where we had no one to go tackle him....I think Joey Porter, and Roth were, told to Contain....Not to try to press too far up field...Just My Two cents....

I was watching it too, and if they were told to contain Thigpen, they should have listened.

Joey Porter.  No sacks, his name wasn't called the whole game except when Randy the Retard Cross was pointing out that they hadn't called his name the whole game.
