I saw a new play for Miami that they can run this week. From the Rutgers game yesterday. Tackle eligible. The QB drops back and laterals to the tackle eligible, then the tackle throws to a wide receiver on a deep slant.

I expect to see them use that this weekend.

Or they could borrow from the Donkos playbook............you know  that play where you pay off the Referee so no matter how shitty you play you are guaranteed a win. Cheesy

Actually, I know what he is referring to.  I watched the Alamo Papa Johns Bowl, and Rutgers ran that exact play against NC State.  The play almost worked, as the receivers were left wide open.  Alas, there is a reason why an offensive tackle doesn't get to touch the ball.  That throw was a shitty one.

I watched the Alamo Bowl and I don't remember seeing Rutgers or NC State.

As long as Chad Pennington dosen't steal Jay Cutler's I can throw the ball THROUGH 4 defenders philoshophy, Miami will be fine against anyone!! Wink

You have to be able to throw to have that philosophy. I don't consider 5 yard dump offs actual passes....

Five yards of dump offs got the Dolphins a divisional title.  Throwing through four defenders got the Donkos coach fired.

14 seasons dude. Lets be serious. How many coaches have been in Miami's carousel in 14 years? And to boot, the guy got canned after an 8-8 season which included leading the league in injured reserve. Further proof that America's team will not accept mediocrity.

You give a guy the keys to the city you get no Super Bowls since the 1970's. Congratulations!

I saw a play the Denver Broncos can steal.  The quarterback comes up to the line (feigning John Madden impression).  He says hut and stuff.  He does this over 16 games.  After 16 games, he gets in the playoffs and has a better record than 8-8.

I'm sorry Mike Shanahan got fired.  I really am, he's an amazing coach but you know what he's not?

In the playoffs.  Had he managed to beat Buffalo, he might have kept his job.

Hey Bronco Boy,every team has a trick play or two in the playbook( flea flicker, reverses, statue of liberty) and if thats what it takes to get  a 1-15 team into the playoffs so be it!
I would much rather watch Chad dink and dunk from my seats at the stadium this Sunday then sit at home and be bitter, depressed, and typing shit talk about other teams that make it when mine didn't
Sorry about Shanahan he was a very good coach but, if your going to use I.R. as an excuse then whats up with the Pats. Wow they had an 11-5 season with a back up quarterback and third string runningback not to mention other starters out !
Excuses are like assholes everybody got one(some are just bigger than others)
