I'm not a serious musician -- I recorded this last week and was debating on whether or not I should post it.  I ultimately decided not to.

...but I remember Frimp uploaded some of his stuff a few years ago and that took some balls, so I changed my mind.

A friend who is serious about music asked me to go in the studio with him and lay down song piano tracks for a song he's doing.  At the end of the session, we had 5 minutes left, so with the time left I recorded this.  I did it in one try, so it is what it is.  I speed up too much by the end...should've used a metronome.

I love Ben Folds.  I wrote that song about 10 years ago.  ...listened to a lot of Ben Folds around the time.  He was a giant influence.

Exactly what I was going to say... Definitely a cool tune, but I need to know how to save it out so it can go on my iPod. Grin

Not sure if you're being facetious, but right-click and save-as will do it.

Very nice Dave.  I'll try and say this in the least gay way as I can...you have a nice voice and a very talented piano player.  I like the lyrics too...very catchy.  I'm impressed.

While we're on the subject of "A song I did," I wrote a sang a song a few years back with my buddy Joey (guitar) and Biff (back-up vocals)...not a serious song in the least and you need a background story to fully appreciate it:

My buddy Mike (Biff) was a virgin and lost it one night to this girl.  She had a gay roommate (I'll disclose his name...he ended up being a good friend too) who was very protective of her, so his buddy Joey was distracting him (lots of alcohol involved).  So the gay guy is hitting on Joey all night and Biff later walks by his room and sees Joey and the gay guy cuddling on the bed.  That's what the song is about.  Made it about 5 years ago and used to sing it at parties when everyone was shitfaced.  Our gay friend in the song asked us to not use his name in the song, so that's why you hear me say, "gay dude" a lot in it.  It was all in good fun and one of my good memories of early college.  Good times!

WARNING...VERY EXPLICIT LYRICS...NSFW
