I don't really care to meet any celebrities.

I'm in this camp.  Maybe it's because I've met a lot of people backstage what not and I'm a little jaded.  From people like Gavin DeGraw to Brett Michaels to Garth Brooks to Billy Joel.  After a while it's kind of a "yawn" thing.  I used to get all excited until I realized that radio geeks don't enjoy meeting these people.  We do it so we can take our pictures with them and then have people come to our house and say "You met Shania Twain!?!?!?!"

However - I would love to sit down and have a discussion with certain people.  Tony Blair, Bill Clinton, Obama, John McCain, Donald Trump.  It wouldn't be so much about "meeting" them, I would like to have actual dialog with them.  Half of the people that I've "met" - it was a photo op.  That was it.  Yep, I "met" Shania Twain and have the pictures to prove it.  Total time with Shania?  About nine seconds.  Literally.  And no offense to Shania but I wouldn't really care to pick her brain about anything.  Sit me down with Bill Clinton and give me a couple hours?  I'd be a happy guy.

I picked my list based on people I'd like to talk to, people that I share a common interest or that I'd like to ask real questions.

Me too. I didn't pick people just to take a picture with them or anything. I want to pick their brains.

that what I assumed the OP was asking. Chances are unless your Barbra Walters or something you will never have more than 9 seconds with anyone........But I still would love to shake Paul Mccartneys hand and just say hello to him. I think it would be fantasic.

Yeah, if it's just a photo-op thing, I think that McCartney would be my number 1 choice.

If they have to be living, I'd want to sit down with William Lane Craig for about 10 horus adn figure out everything I could from his knowledge. I'd then ask him to give me Francis Collins' phone number so I could sit down with him as well...

If they can be dead, I'd love to meet Augustus Caesar or Shakespeare.

Oh, and probably Rachel McAdams or Anne Hathaway.

There are a few politicians I'd like to meet, but I've never considered them celebrities. I wouldn't care to meet political radio talk show hosts because the conversation would be the same stuff you'd hear on their shows.

I would like to meet George W Bush, and have a beer with the guy like Phishfan. I also would like to have a beer with President Obama. Mainly to see how he would reply with a little sauce to some tough questions. I would like to meet Nancy Pelosi because I have a feeling that her breath reeks of wine 24 hours a day, and I'd like to confirm that.  Grin

I'd like to sit down and have conversations with a number of current and former sports coaches, GMs and owners, just to pick their brains. Guys like Bill Walsh, Jerry Colangelo, Bill Parcells, Tony Dungy, Trader Jack McKeon, Ray Kroc, Gregg Popovich, and a lot of other dudes.

I really would have Dean Smith on my list, but I wanted everyone to recognize the names I used. Everything I have ever heard about the guy rates him as a class act.
