Brett Favre holds almost every volume QB stat: Passes Completed, Pass Attempts, Passing Yds, Passing TD, and his greatest achievement Passes Intercepted.  Not to mention dramatic unretirements.

But three records have remained elusive as of yet:  Fumbles, Sacks, and Sacked Yards Lost.

Fumbles and Sacks are both easily with in reach.  Sacked Yards Lost would likely take two seasons to achieve.

Fumbles --

Moon's record----161.
Farve's count -- 157
# need to tie 4 (5 to surpass)

This should be easy Favre's low is 4 (once in 2004) his high is 16 (2001) last year he fumbled 10 times.

Sacks

Elway's record - 516
Favre's count - 469
# needed to tie 47 (48 to surpass)

This could be a bit harder, Favre's best (worst) was 40 (1996) with a low of 12 (2004) last year he was sacked 30 times.  But 47 times in a single season is not out of reach.  The single season record is 76 set by Carr in 2002. 71 times QBs have been sacked 47 or more times in a single season.  Last year the Viking QBs combined for 43 sacks.

I just want 1 stat:

"Season-ending injuries - 1"

Bye, Brett.  I hate you.

I'd like to see him challenge the all time sacks record.  Mainly because as much media BS as we sports fans have had to deal with because of Favre's case of acute waffletosis, we deserve to be compensated, and watching Brett get lit up 48 times this year would about just cover the bill...

Change the word Season to Career and that'll be the stat I want.

I never root for injuries.

Plus if he isn't on the field .... he can't fumble the ball.

I don't root for injuries either but I don't see any other way to "force" this self-centered cock-face to fade off into the sunset.

Agreed, we  dont want see brett hurt.  Well, I want to see  him have a meltdown season like he did with the Jets..  Brad childress should get canned after this season,  you hurt that team by not puttin any faith in Tavaris jackson and Sage Rosenfels who i beleive would have been the starter.  TJ and Sage should  asked to be traded.

If he breaks Moon's and Elway's records the Vikings will cut him and nobody else will want him.

The bad news is today Favre made no progress on Moon's record.

The good news is he kicked butt in progressing toward's Elway's record with 5 sacks.

He now needs 42 to tie.

Good news on the sack front -- Favre got 3 more today now he needs 39 more to tie.
Bad news on the fumbles -- once again he didn't get one but, I am not giving up on him.

Only 2 sacks, no fumbles.....not as much progress as I would have hoped out of the old man.

Needs 37 more sacks to tie.

You're really not getting much progress out of Favre, are you? No interceptions today. No fumbles, either.

Looks like you'll have to wait... if you don't get any movement the next two weeks (Heinz Field and Lambeau Field), it's not looking good for you. The only cold game left (regular season) is Soldier Field on 28 December. Five of their remaining eight are at home. Add a game in Carolina and a game in Arizona... all that's left is Soldier Field.

And the schedule doesn't exactly look scary either...

Oh well, you have the next two weeks...

Well, Lambeau was a complete bust, but at least Heinz Field did net both an interception and the first Favre fumble of the season -- and 4 sacks!

Still gotta worry about that schedule, though... next three games are at home against mediocre opponents: Detroit, Seattle, Chicago.

Not too many tough teams or stadiums remaining on the schedule.
