Easier pitching in the NL due to the lack of DH.. If he was going to be a reliever, he would've stayed with Boston.

This is a somewhat separate issue but it's something that bothered me for years.  Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine got all the credit the whole time these three were on the Braves.  Both were 50/50 at best in the post-season.  Smoltz was the one who always won big games in October.

Not so worried about whether SD can rock Smoltzie or not...despite the success he's had against SD in his younger years. I AM worried about Cesar Carrillo (SD's starter on Sunday) being able to get any redbird hitters (or any little league hitters) out.

I see a 12-7 loss coming in this one.
