I like Penny, but this is the ideal way to start getting Henne involved.  ...no QB controversy, but coming in as a back-up.

Never say never. When I heard they were dumping Drew Throw the Bomb Beldsoe for some 6th rounder I was like WTF?  I dug Penny. But If he got hurt I'm glad he did it early in the season. Lets see what Henne can do once and for all. If not we know where we stand next year. Farve will be looking for a new Team by then.......... Grin

Steve young,  Elway,  Farve.  I dont think in their first game they looked outstanding. Did Peyton do well in his first season with the colts?

So Henne looked lost.  Im not gonna put the verdict out on him yet. Shocked

You guys are assuming that they are going to go with Henne? With Pat White behind him surely they will pick up a veteran QB. Henne will probably start once or twice and then they will use whatever scrub they pick up for the rest of the year and give Henne a nice reach around because God forbid you develop the young guy.

Well, I was not impressed with what I saw on Saturday, but if Henne is now our starting QB, we need to hope for the best and give him some time to improve.

That's the fear I have. It would really suck to dump on him like we have done others. Fortunately for Henne he has a better starting cast than some of our previously dumped on QBs.

I agree with the other posters, this is the best way to bring Henne in and see what he can do.  At this point we have very little chance of making the playoffs, as it will take Henne at least 3 games to start feeling comfortable.  On the positive side the "O" Line is good and the running game is good, both of which should help Henne succeed.  Let's see whether Ginn can catch the long ball.

Yeah it's hard to come back from a 3rd shoulder surgery on the same shoulder.

Enter the Chad Henne era. Is he the 15th or 16th QB since Marino?

14th per NFL.com, but I use the term QB loosely considering some of the turds we've had since Marino.
