Seriously, words cannot express the complete idiocy of that call.

WORST CASE SCENARIO is some sort of crazy fake field goal for TD.  Instead, you want the best offense in the league to have the ball on the half-yard line.

Absolutely indefensible.  What the hell was he (Sparano) talking about during the review?  He should have been getting prepared.
