Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

I am not a fan of a lot of scary stuff like the horror movies and people scaring other people half to death for FUN. Fun !?! What's fun about that? Am I missing something?

Now having said these things, people who know me personally know that I have no issues with these things when it comes to video games. I have no problem playing Resident Evil type of games (like survival horror) games. There are things in these games that do creep me out, but I am able to remove it or kill it off so it does not continue to creep me out. I can read about zombie stuff and have no problem with it, but I have a harder time seeing it in movies and such.

Normally, this would not be an issue for someone who is young, but I am 31 years old and these things still creep me out to the point that I intentionally try to avoid it.

The odd thing is I don't know when it will creep me out. I think its more monster stuff than person horror. For example. when I was taking a personal vacation for me to study and take a licensing exam, Saw III was on. It was about half-way through it so I was already lost about the story line so I was half paying attention to it. I don't want to ruin anything for anyone who has not seen any of these movies, but the way these planned "games" of life go are really f#*!ed up. How can anyone find that to be entertaining !?! And they made 6 of these things??!! I was not scared of a movie like that, but it is not something I would pay money to watch again (or I'd rather pay money to not ever see that again).

Now, having said that, this is not a movie that scares me. Any movie that has super-sized (or even small) packs of spiders creep the hell out of me. Also movies that are just made to scare the watching audience is something that just flat out does not interest me one bit yet I notice it being rammed down my throat every time I go to a movie and see it in previews (like comedy or documentary movies). I don't enjoy these things. Why does everyone else? What's wrong with me (or is there something wrong with me)?  Huh

No.  Some people (myself included) think being scared is fun.  For others like yourself, not so much.  Not wrong, just different.

I hate scary stuff. You couldn't pay me to do stuff like Halloween Horror Nights or any kind of scary movie. Sixth Sense is right on my border line of scary. I can't handle it

I think Scarey is different, for everyone...I hate Theme park rides,I don't like being slammed form side to side.jerked up and down, spun around hung upside down....I don't see the point,I feel the same way you do about Scarey Movies....This is Fun?

Scarey movies,I love them..(I watch them on my Big screen at home) Personally, after the first saw movie they're stink fest...I don't see them really as scarey, more like torture flicks...I love stuff like Ghosthunters,Destinaton truth....

I don't think there is anything wrong,Alot of people don't like that it opens their imagination...Will they look into the mirror in the bathroom, and see something else in the reflection....I love those things.....

Something may indeed be wrong with you.  Grin I myself have toned down on the gore movies and really like suspense much more now.

How could you even ask? You're "different" - that's good! Besides, you're compatible with your GF (me) that's good! Hehe.

Although you should enjoy dressing up in costume please! And I know you like eating, mmm candy! Those are the reasons I like Halloween, aside from the proximity to my birthday.

Sun and Phish, you're meanies!

I don't think that's weird at all.  Some people don't like to be scared, just like some people don't like to cry in movies.

And even within that, some people like their scares in different ways.  I don't mind a psychological scare, like Silence of the Lambs, but I don't like slasher films with people jumping out at me.

It takes different strokes to move the world.

I like thrillers and stuff like that, but HATE blood and gore. I haven't seen any of the Saw movies. They look miserable.

I think I'm the same, Buddha. But I go through wimpier periods when I can't take much. Heh.

I'm in the same boat as wyvernmcd and Buddha.  I watched one part of Saw where it looked like a guy's arm was about to be repeatedly twisted.  I had to turn the channel when they started to twist it.... gross.  I hate horror stuff.

It's called "detachment," folks... It really isn't your arm being twisted, or your head being chopped off. It's fiction, mere visuals designed to entertain.

No worries...more gore for the rest of us. Wink

I can think of a LOT of things that are entertaining. Watching someone go through that (even though I know it is fake somehow) is not entertaining. Personally, I think its sick.

I can honestly say that I'm not a big fan of horror movies either.
