I don't know what it was, but I certainly found myself upset at the calls on the field this year, over every other year prior.  It seemed that the Dolphins were on the wrong side of an inordinate amount of questionable calls this year, particularly ones that were game-changing.

From outright WRONG calls (like the fumble against the Texans ruled an incomplete pass), to the technicalities (like Camarillo's unnecessary roughness on touching a downed man), to several big plays called back because of stuff that happened away from the ball -- I don't know if it's sloppy play on our team's part or if it's just bad reffing.

Very frustrating.  For being in so many close games, where one play makes the difference, it's magnified.

Darren Sharper's not-a-touchdown touchdown
Camarillo's unnecessary roughness vs the Titans
TWO Questionable pass interference calls in the Jets (home) game
The "we blew the whistle too early" stripped ball fumble by Chris Johnson
Tripping call vs Polite on Ted Ginn's long TD vs Texans
Camarillo's out of bounds fumble called "delay of game" vs Saints
Phantom defensive holding call on Soliai vs Titans after a big 3rd down stop

There are more, I'm sure, but you're right.  It seems like every game I find myself feeling like we are getting screwed by the refs.  I don't like to complain about officiating, but it has become EVERY week...

The thing is, in other seasons, they balanced out.

Like in 2008, when we won the Denver game on a ridiculous OPI call.

The NFL is rigged this year.

I can only remember one call that went our way this season.  The play in the Bucs' game when the receiver went to the ground and the ball popped out and JT caught it and ran it in.  But even that they called back the TD cause they blew the whistle prematurely.

Aha, I got it!!  The SB is in Miami this year.  Therefore, the NFL doesn't want Miami to make the playoffs.

I am convinced it is rigged.

Camarillo's out of bounds fumble called "delay of game" vs Saints

Wasn't it an illegal forward pass?

Someone needs to step up and start punching them in the face.  Same goes for those NBA refs.  Refs can be bought off.... Tim Donaghy proved that.

When will you realize that violence is not the answer? In another thread, you said you punched your boss, and are no longer employed there. Not a surprise.

Why don't most people agree with you, and try to solve everything by fighting? I believe this quote from Joel McHale on Community (great show by the way) sums it up: For the same reason I floss, have a bed frame, and keep my guitar in its case. I'm over 23.

I also agree this is an intersting thought.

Refs definitely made some huge errant calls against us this year.  Would have been nice for them to at least own up and apologize.  At the same time, if we play more dominantly and aim to have a bigger score disparity it is less likely that these ref. mistakes would be so critical.  Part of the reason the calls were so huge was that we nearly always play a style of football that keeps the score close.
