Could be worse.  I would have to think the worst would be to play in a stadium named after a different sports team, now that would suck.

i figured no one would really be heart-broken....but i figured it was some news during "down time"....so i figured wth...ill post it

Oh, for sure.  It's news.  But it doesn't really bother me.  I'd prefer not to change the name all the time, but it really doesn't make a big difference.

It's the recency of the name changes that even I'm upset about. Every year this freaking stadium is called something different.

All in favor of simply calling it "Joe Robbie Stadium" from here on out say "I".

Regardless of what it winds up officially being called, I will forever refer to it as the "New Giants Stadium" (at least when talking to Jets fans.)

the commercialization of these stadiums is nothing short of a disgrace. heres a few  teams that have too much pride and tradition to name their stadium after a bank , condiment company, beer , or  a razor  .

YANKEE STADIUM
FENWAY PARK
WRIGLEY FIELD
DODGER STADIUM
LAMBEAU FIELD
COWBOYS / DALLAS STADIUM

We could just be like Hank Goldberg and call it "TSFKAJR" (the stadium formerly known as Joe Robbie)

It's a common misconception.  I have no idea if you are being sarcastic or not.

I think he might be referring to "Wrigley" in that group as the commercial, but since it was named after the owner of the Cubs (who also happened to own the chewing gum business), I think that it actually belongs there. Technically, so does Busch and Heinz, as both were last names of business leaders/masters of industry that were based in the same area the stadium is today.

We could just be like Hank Goldberg and call it "TSFKAJR" (the stadium formerly known as Joe Robbie)

Yeah, because that is so much easier... Roll Eyes  Grin
