^^^Yeah, that's right.  That selfish asshole jock deserves your hatred for the 12 years of dedicated, honorable service to your franchise, during which he was never busted for: PEDs, beating his wife, fathering children out of wedlock, carrying firearms, making it rain in strip joints, smoking crack, consorting with prostitutes, etc...  Fuck HIM for having a douche move pulled on him by the franchise, right?  Right?!?  Sarcasm cuts both ways, Dolfan, and makes for a weak argument.

You're acting like a bunch of children ruled by your emotional responses.  Grow up and understand that the NFL is a serious business, where serious legal minds are necessary in hashing out contracts.  A contract on a post-it is a JOKE, OK?  A joke.  A Spider-Dan said:  if agents weren't necessary, Parcells, Ireland, and Sparano wouldn't need 'em too.

So.....one Douche Move deserves another? His was MUCH more Douchy.   He struck back at them and we got caught in the line of fire. Fuck him.

Once again why this level of anger. By all accounts the Jets were the only playoff caliber team and possibly the only team really interested in him period. How does this make his business decision a total douche move?
Taylor did nothing more than Zach did, you all just hate the Jets more than the Cowboys and this is blinding your vision.
Get over it, JT did not fuck this team over one bit. The Phins season will not be jepardized because of this.

About the only Time I have agreed with Fireman Ed:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/2010/04/07/2010-04-07_jets_super_fan_fireman_ed_blasts_de_taylor.html

Alot more to this then a championship or money.  Taylor is pissed off. He made his choice and is now dead to me and many of the fans. Any thoughts of bringing him back to retire oneday is just another insult.  Its like posting pictures of the Jets Monday night Miracle around the stadium. This is the same level of a horrible bad moment in the Dolphins History.

I hope one of the new Draftees gets # 99 rightaway.

Don't speak for "many" of the fans.  I know exactly two who are pissed off, one is you.

The only anger I have towards him is he is a Jet, so fuck him.  Its that simple.  If he went to NYJ and it was a direct result to world peace, I'd still say fuck him because he's a Jet.  I agree that once he's out of that uniform, things will probably be all good, but until then he's dead to me.

No I can't take him back. Thats like that fat bastard Rex Ryan sleeping with your wife for a year and then her coming back.  I couldn't go near her again.

Make me three, then.

I don't hate Taylor, but I am pissed that he chose the Jets.  He had options.  He chose the money.  That's fine, but I don't have to like it or him for it.

Dave, I am not happy that he is a Jet now either.  However, I don't plan on hating him for the rest of my life because of it.  I also don't think that just because he is now a Jet that he should never be in the Ring of Honor.

He had two options.
1. Wait and hope the Dolphins still had interest in him and "maybe" get a whiff of the playoffs
2. Go with a team that wanted him and was one game from the SB and has reloaded to make another serious SB run the next couple of years.

Now take off your blinders and put yourself in his position and look at this from a business perspective.
I am not happy he is with the Jets, but good god there is entirely too much venomous hatred being poured out at this guy. You would have thought his departure was in his prime and has crippled the defense.

Yeah, and chose option 2.  Which is fine.  Each decision came with consequences.  He risked losing money by waiting on the Fins' offer, and he risked losing fans and legacy by jumping to the enemy.

But I don't have to put myself in his shoes.  I have to put myself in mine.  As a fan of the Miami Dolphins, I find choosing to play on your team's most hated rival (one that you've been very vocal about) is messed up.  I think that things like the Ring of Honor are for people who gave their careers to the team.  I think that players that jump ship to the rival for a paycheck don't qualify.  But that's my opinion and I respect yours if you want to continue to honor him.

I think that the Johnny Damon example is a good one.  He had his best years in Boston, helping them win their first title in like 100 years.  Then he went to the Yankees.  Should he be in their Ring of Honor?  I certainly don't think so.

Here is what your Not getting. Along with being a dolphin , especially one from 1997 like him, #2 you hope for the Dolphins to win. #1 is for the Jets to lose at all Costs. He is now being paid to help that along. To keep us out and HELP them win. thats just unforgivable.

The Man gave up 7.5 Million Dollars because he didn't like Washington. This WAS NOT a business move. the only one that wanted him to go from a business perspective was his agent. This was about teaching Bill Parcells a lesson. I'm JT. Show ME respect.  Fuck Him. Pass #99 on to someone else........
