These films in the "30 for 30" series are just amazingly entertaining. I'm definitely looking forward to watching Run Ricky Run tonight.

One of the other 30 for 30 films called "Silly Little Game," about the beginning of fantasy baseball, might be the coolest documentary I've ever seen...and has even inspired me to listen to the internet radio show done by that film's director.

Decent documentary.  I had no Idea that Ricky was sexually molested by his dad. That explains alot and its amazing he worked it out so intelligently and not violently like most people dealing with that. So Glad to see he is happy and productive again. Good for him.

I learned a little bit, but came nowhere close to getting where I hoped I would be after watching the film. I guess that is just part of trying to get inside Ricky's head though.

I thought it was a good little sneak peek inside Ricky's head...puts a bit of perspective on some things that we only saw from the media's perspective as it was happening.

Overall...good documentary.

Yeah, basically he had no father and he had a very traumatic experience done to him that left damage and a few issues. But he was intelligent enough to kind of put it in perspective and see how it was effecting him and those around him. To make it worse though he had to do it in front of the world and the Microscope of the media. Glad it worked out. Most people I meet that were in the same situation without all the distractions cannot work it out and wind up in the system or the End it all.

There are probably some people in the background , like Herm Edwards, Bill Parcells, and Jim Brown that deserve some credit for being patient and supporting him. I hope he can stay happy.

On another note, I bet if you look deeper into it , a guy like Cecil Collins probably had a similar experience done to him . Look at the two results. Rickeys reasoning and intellect saved him.

I didn't get to catch this. How did his and Herm Edwards paths cross? I remember Jim Brown reaching out to him when he retired, but can't recall any interaction with Edwards during that time.

Herm Edwards and Jim Brown were both listed as mentors to him. I thought he was in the documantary as well? I'm assuming the Bill Parcells role. But I know he reached out to him and supported him back on the team after his last suspension. His attitude and overall kindness had alot to do with that I'm sure. Ricky never demands anything. he believes in earning it , just like his first football contract.

This was a very good documentary.  I am really glad to see Ricky has gotten his life in order.  He is a far out dude, but hard not to like!  Good stuff!
