Crowder discussion.........

Crowder is a nice clean-up guy in the sense that he'll be a great "second guy to arrive" to finish a tackle by, say, Dansby.  I, however, find him lacking in making tackles for loss and impact plays (fumbles forced, recovered, interceptions, etc...).  Basically, I don't trust him to make the play needed to get the team off the field on third down.  I don't trust him to break down and stuff a running back for no gain on third and one.  I don't think he has the instincts to just KNOW that the next play would be run between the "A" Gap and the "B" Gap and just shut it down.

Now that he'll play second banana to Dansby, I'm OK with him.  I wasn't happy with him as the team's best MLB, however.

   Now that we have some proper 3-4 personnel in place to compliment him, I think he is primed to shine.  

Hey don't get me wrong. I would love Nothing better then to start a Crowder retraction thread this time next year. Prove me wrong Channing! I'll be the first to say I was wrong about the guy. But so far he hasn't showed it IMO. And he really has declined since he got his contract extention. I think even he was surprised when he got it. I think his agent Blew parcells or has some kind of dirt on them. But I'm pulling for him.........But this will be his last chance to shine  before he gets demoted or shipped I think.

I think this is a very good way to state it in simple terms.  I like the guy more than many of our fans, but I wasn't trying to claim that he was a one man wrecking crew or anything.
