Will you boo or cheer Jason Taylor when he plays in Miami?

If your answer is to boo him, does it more have to do with taylor leaving, or the fact that he is with the jets.

I'm not huge on the whole "boo the player that leaves" thing.  I don't do it myself, and generally do not support it (with exceptions).

Manny came back to Fenway this weekend and the reception was pretty brutal.  I was actually there on Friday night, TV made it sound a little friendlier than it was.  Manny deserved every bit of it.  From (literally) quitting on his teammates, to stating the kids with cancer 'will live' if he doesn't visit them, to throwing down a 62 year old traveling secretary over game tickets...his own team demanded that they trade him.  One of the best hitters ever and his own team needed him (not wanted) out.  He deserved it. 

Jason Taylor?  He gave Miami everything he could.  Great teammate.  Good leader on the field.  Good citizen, active in the community.  His only crime is signing with the Jets?  He deserves more respect by this fan base, in my opinion.  Not like this guy pulled a Haynesworth, signing a salary cap crippling contract and then not playing.

This is a bit different though. I expect Jason Taylor's name to only come over the PA if he makes a play. I don't expect them to make any special announcements around Taylor (unlike in baseball they are going to announce Manny's name each time he comes to the plate). You cannot cheer Jason Taylor's name if he sacks out QB. That is completely uncalled for.

He is a member of the Jets starting defense.  I bet you a case of beer that Miami specifically has their offense introduced for the purpose of introducing the Jets defense prior to the game.  He'll be introduced.

And - by the way - Mastsui left the Yankees for the Angels.  Angels came to New York in early May and hit a BOMB into the bleachers.  The Yankee fans, good baseball fans that they are, gave the guy a "we miss you" applause as he rounded the bases.  If YANKEE fan can appreciate a guy hitting a dinger in their park, why can't Miami fan honor one of the best defensive players that ever suited up for them?

You are right. I completely forgot the Angels-Yankees rivalry equates or even surpasses the Dolphins-Jets rivalry.
